"There are three things in life that can and will cause the most stress: 1) Getting married 2) Starting a new job 3) Moving I had the blessing of tackling #2 & #3 at the same time in January 2024. Like most consumers in the 21st century, I turned to the internet to begin my search for a new home to accompany my new professional opportunity. I have bought and sold homes in the past and have been always very frustrated by the experience, especially when an agent receives a commission from your internet search, but I digress. I identified an ideal location based on my personal preferences and attempted to coordinate showings of properties that I had flagged. These conversations were not fruitful; many of the listing agents were not interested in my personal story and needs and because my timeline was unique, many were not willing to be helpful. I also ran into the "team approach"; it was giving Team Serhant from Million Dollar Listing, where I would connect with an "agent" who was not really an agent and had to run back to Mom or Dad and get permission. Needless to say, I was super annoyed at the entire process and the nuance to securing a rental in Boston; which I might add is 100% unique to this city. It was not until I connected with Katie that there was a glimmer of hope. Not only was she willing to schedule a viewing for the property I initially inquired about; she also asked questions about me and my preferences and offered to assist in my search. I was travelling from out of state for a 2-day trip to secure housing and Katie went above and beyond and coordinated an entire days worth of showings. She picked me up from my hotel and was accommodating of my entourage in tow, including a coffee run.
