Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Speer pursued his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Clemson University in South Carolina, followed by a Medical Degree from Tulane University Medical School. He honed his medical skills during an internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and completed his residency at Tulane University, further advancing his specialization through a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Speer has been dedicated to providing exceptional care since establishing his private practice in Pensacola in 1992. In addition to his practice, he contributes to the medical community as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Florida State University School of Medicine.

I waited over a half hour in the waiting room and then waited more in the doctors office after an hour total wait my appointment was canceled due to all the staff leaving, and the doctor was unable to perform the appointment very dissatisfied because I missed work. And had to reschedule due to lack of staff in the office, leaving the doctor by himself, which he was unable to perform the visit."
