"I have an autistic child who is still working on verbal communication and absolutely hates anything on their face or being restrained. My child was very resistant to the drops needed for dilation , especially since they make your eyes burn, and after the first eye he was mildly combative, the medical staff prior to seeing the optometrist were attempting to gently restrain him (with my consent) and when I saw my kid was getting more frustrated I asked them to stop ajd they immediately did. We had to try to hold my child a bit again but they were quick, patient and respectful of myself and my child. When we did see Olivia there was another physician with her as well. They were all amazing, Olivia was incredible. So patient, so respectful and gentle. They asked my child for permission and involved my kid every step of the way and encouraged them as the tests went along. They also had movies playing for my child which was great. I appreciate them so so much. HIGHLY recommend."
