"Pricing is affordable, staff is friendly, but don’t bother calling as they will waste your time. I had 2 unsuccessful trips since my phone call. No returns / exchange on contacts and flat out refused to work on “designer frames”. Seems like that policy changed / got stricter."

"Went in on a Sunday for frame repair, and the employee let me know the frames were too damaged. This was a pair that I purchased from a location in Wichita they didn't stock in this location, so she coordinated for delivery of a replacement pair with the Kansas store. They arrived within 2 days! I went in the next day and had the lenses swapped in, no adjustments were needed and I was on my way. Very quick, very helpful, highly recommend!"

"The employees would rather be anywhere else than working here. Even in greeting them, they were all in a sour mood and it affected 2 customers before me and then myself. I found glasses and wanted to order after 20 minutes of browsing, but walked out due to Leah being condescending about male frames I had picked for myself and an entirely unhelpful attitude until I dragged my husband away stating I did not want to work with her further. I won't be coming here again and it's making me rethink my whole membership as bad of an experience as it was."

"I had one of the best experiences buying eyeglasses from Dave. My previous experience at the Boston Heights Costco Optical was the worst in my twenty years of buying glasses but I was convinced it was simply the manager and I just needed to try another store. It turned out I was absolutely right. I went on an extremely busy Saturday afternoon. I was aware of the negative reviews here about the wait time so I was prepared to wait. I took my time and picked out 3 sunglasses and 3 regular glasses. I didn't wait long and Dave was available to help me. As I tried the glasses on, Dave picked the one he felt was the best, and he didn't even know it happened to be my 1st choice. Then we went through the sunglasses and again he picked my 1st choice style but, there was a problem. He said the lens size was too big and explained how my Rx would affect the larger lens so he grabbed another pair from the display of the exact same style but with a smaller lens that I evidently missed. The fit was much better than the others. His expertise and patience in suggesting the right glasses for me was clear and he was super easy to talk to and answered all my questions. Despite how hectic it was, Dave took the time to make sure I had all the information and prices on all the features of the lenses. While I was considering my options, Dave took care of customers when the other two opticians were helping other customers. As I mentioned, it was extremely busy so some customers may have been waiting for several minutes but I think it was certainly understandable for a Saturday and nobody seemed upset. One of the customers I overheard Dave help was a gentleman that was having repeated trouble getting his glasses adjusted to be comfortable for him. After my experience with the other Costco Optical Manager, I was curious how Dave would answer the customers concerns who had returned several times for adjustments. Dave took the time to listen to the customer, figured out the issue, made some adjustments, and reassured the customer that he wanted him to be happy with his glasses and to come back if he needed anything else. It's good to know there are Opticians like Dave willing to help their customers. Not surprisingly, another Optician asked if a customer needed help and they said they were waiting for Dave. After receiving his help, I definitely understand why! I highly recommend this Costco Optical!"

"I've been going to this Costco optical center for the past 3 years. I'm very surprised by the bad reviews. I've never had a problem with the quality or service. My prescription is always spot on. I've worn glasses for the past 40 years, so I've been to nearly every chain optical shop, as well as some private ones. Costco is hands down the best value. No, they don't have 500 frames and 20 lens options to choose from, but you'll get a perfectly functional pair of glasses at a reasonable cost. I buy frames online, and take them to Costco for the lenses, for an additional $25 charge. $150 or so for hi-index lenses with anti-reflective and scratch coating can't be beat. I've gotten prescription sunglasses here as well, and they were the first prescription pair I've had that blocked enough light to be effective. The optometrist, Dr. Sikora, is awesome. Very thorough and kind. $75 for the exam is fair. The wait times have been no worse than ay any other optical place I've used, nor is the turnaround time for the glasses - usually 7-10 days. I'd rather wait a week for glasses that are made correctly, than to get improperly made ones rushed through in an hour on site. I don't work for Costco or know anyone who does. I'm just a happy Costco customer."
