Frontier Suites Hotel in Juneau

"Room on the fourth floor in wing b smelled of cigarettes. Dishes were limited to 3 plates and 1 bowl. At least, the art in the room is nice to look at."

"I was placed in their 3rd building, not the main building where front desk is located. The building reeked of cigarettes even though it is a non smoking building. I got into the elevator and that stunk even more… it smelled like it had been used as a urinal. My room smelled old and the floors were not vacuumed. Complained to the front desk and they did come the next day and vacuumed and tried to make it smell nice. That night I walk up to my rental car and two bags of dog poop were placed on the trunk. 2nd day no one come to service the room. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. If you can get passed all of this the location is about all they have going for them."

"I like the large rooms but its so hot. I couldn't figure out the thermostat. The airport shuttle didn't come at 5:30 am. We had to beg the host to call the driver to come at 6 am. Whew."

"Not a fancy place but very comfortable. Good TV and wireless access and full kitchen with every suite. A couple of grocery stores nearby and public bus stop across the street. We visited Mendenhall glacier and downtown very easily (and cheaply on the capital transit system). Walking distance to the airport. They have a shuttle to and from the ferry terminal and airport. Will definitely stay there on our next visit to Juneau."

"Do not expect 2 stars with service. They have a great location, but outside of the location, it's not worth the price or the hassle. Let's start with the cleaning of the building and the rooms. Bad. Very bad. The linen is filthy, the bed spread hasn't been cleaned, and the room has flies and bedbugs. Shower curtains smell like fresh urine. Make sure what you wear in the rooms are clean before you leave or just throw them away. There is little to no parking. There are 2 restaurants. The Domino's pizza... let's just say please go inside and look around before you order. And the Philippine restaurant. Good food, but there is a situation with employees that will create a very bad experience. The laundry room on the second floor 3rd building has a washer and dryer. The washer doesn't ring out clothes well. So your clothes will remain wet. The room I was in had a toilet that ran 24 hrs a day and had condisation leaking water worse than a leaky pipe. Just make this your last choice. The front desk was nice, but their nice doesn't make up for poor quality. Especially for the price."
