"I've been staying here for years. The staff and management are first rate. Amy leads by example. They employ some special needs folks and a few elderly folks. They treat them as well as they treat their guests, and it's very refreshing. As a regular guest, they tend to make me feel special, and I love them for it."

"We missed our flight, so this was a last minute reservation. And although the rates were a little high, everything was wonderful. When we checked in, we were giving an upstairs room. I requested a lower room because I don't do stairs well. They were very gracious to assist. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR AT THE PROPERTY. We are staying there again in 10 days, and the rates are much lower. The roll a way bed needs a few blankets on top of the mattress to make it more comfortable, but it was suitable. Hot breakfast was brought to our room at the time we requested. Bacon, eggs with cheese, pancakes and all the condiments included. Nothing was missing. That was very nice. The sister property Grandma's feather bed has hot breakfast at that location. So they transport breakfast to you at this location. We needed a late check out which was not a problem.. Transportation to and from the airport and the fjordline worked wonderful."

"Recently stayed here for a week. It was very quiet eventhough the hotel was full. We requested 2nd floor so we wouldn't have anyone above us. Good location close to the airport and a few restaurants. Drive to downtown isnt bad and nice to be away from the cruise folks. The room was small and definitely needs some updates, but cozy. Service & 24 hr shuttle are great! Shuttle picked us up at the airport around midnight and took us back for our departing flight at 330 am. Breakfast delivered to the room is a nice option. Nothing fancy but helps save money on meals. I would stay here again."

"There was no A/C which was much needed the rooms got stuffy at night. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was located very close to the airport which was nice and they offered shuttles to town throughout the day which was nice. The warm breakfast was always on time which was lovely."

"Stayed here for 7 nights, 3 adults + 1 kid. Room was a tad cramped but we made it work. On the days we requested service, beds were made (had the sheets replaced once) and we got new towels, toiletries, etc. Went to the lobby every morning for coffee and the items that were set out. We didn't learn until halfway through our stay that we could order a hot breakfast to be delivered to the room (eggs/potatoes or pancakes, bacon optional + juice). Hotel is right down the road from the airport, so you regularly hear planes and all the tour helicopters, but it didn't affect our ability to sleep. It's nice that they had an oscillating fan in the room because there's no a/c and air circulation is minimal; we opened up the one window and regularly left the shutters and door open. Overall it was a great place to stay! Oh and it's far enough from town that you don't really deal much with the cruise ship crowds. Lots of shopping in the area and good restaurants, all within 10 minutes. You're also right down the road from the Mendenhall Glacier!"
