"If you plan to do an unmedicated birth, I highly recommend not having Dr. Jacob deliver your baby. A nurse told him I was dilated to a 10, but I was actually only a 7. He was clearly annoyed that he was called in and everything was set up when I wasn't actually ready to push. So he insisted on stretching my cervix during every contraction (which was extremely painful and caused me to have many vaginal infections after birth) to speed up time because he was impatient. I told him I wanted to give birth in a more upright position, and he argued with me about it while I was in the middle of active labor with no medication. He was very arrogant and wouldn't let me do anything other than lay down. I felt very small and not in control and felt like he didn't care about anything I said. Thankfully everything was okay with my baby, but it definitely caused some trauma in me."

"He delivered my first baby and there weren’t complications, but his bedside manner was not the best. The second I was dilated to a 10 (I was 33 weeks, in premature labor) he talked to me about how “in future pregnancies” I should do this and this to prevent premature labor, to which I exasperatedly said “can I just have THIS baby right now?!” After my baby was delivered, he was placed on my chest for two seconds and then I couldn’t see him for an hour. As I was crying and shaking on the delivery table, he decided to talk to me about birth control. The only communication he gave me during the delivery process other than direction on what to do during delivery was unnecessary unsolicited medical advice without any tact or respect to what I was experiencing for the first time. Just went straight into “this is my job” mode and not a lot of care for the patient as a human being. I would not like him yo deliver another one of my children personally."

"Dr. Jacob did the BEST job delivering our son. I hadn’t seen him before in the clinic and he immediately made me feel comfortable and was personable and caring in the hospital when I was in labor with my first baby. I was really nervous because my baby needed forceps and he did an excellent job with no damage or harm done at all to my baby. I’m a NICU nurse and so often see babies who have been born with forceps have issues. But he did the best job I’ve ever seen. He made me feel at ease, was kind, and I could tell he genuinely loves his job. I hope he can deliver all of my future babies. So grateful for a knowledgeable, confident, kind doctor who has excellent bedside manner."

"My experience with Dr. Jacob was fantastic. When it became clear that my baby would need to be delivered early, he discussed my options with me, explaining the risks and benefits clearly so that I could feel confident making my decision. I could tell that he really cared about my health and the health of my child. Dr. Jacob performed my C-section at 39 weeks and the procedure went perfectly. During my hospital stay and recovery, every nurse and doctor that examined my incision remarked on how well it was done. (And yes, I mean every single one, which is a lot when you're in the hospital for three and a half days.) I would absolutely have Dr. Jacob deliver my next baby, especially if I have another C-section! I can't imagine anyone doing it better than he did."
