"I cannot say enough good things about the Utah Valley Hospital nursing and tech staff on the 5th and 7th floors. Recently we experienced several weeks of care in the hospital. I was so impressed with the kindness of these workers who spent long hours each day caring for sick and often grumpy people. Patience and optimistic encouragement, smiles and helpfulness brought brightness into difficult circumstances. Many thanks for excellent and compassionate service."

"My mother stayed on floor 8 from January 26th through February 1st. All of the nurses were very friendly and helpful. They were very attentive and anytime my mom needed anything they got it for us. She gets cold a lot and those warm blankets were wonderful. When she had 103° fever we got a washcloth and got it wet and put it on her head. This really helped her to feel better especially when waiting for relief from the medications. The cupboard in the room that had the washcloths in it said that it was for "partners in healing" and they needed to have clean hands. We were under the assumption that we were partners in healing. Are the family members not partners in healing? On the 31st thick zip ties appeared on the cupboards handles in my mother's room. No one talked to us. No one asked us to not touch anything. And again the only thing we touched were the washcloths. Talk about passive aggressive. And rude. I cut them off and put them in the cupboard where they were easy to see. Then later that day, my mother needed a shower. A very nice nurse came in and was showering her and realize she had forgotten something. I stayed with my mother while the nurse went over to that cupboard that was previously zip tied closed and got what she needed. Had the cupboard still been zip tied she would have had to go into the hallway and track down what she needed. How is this good for the patients? Why would no one talk to us about this? Why would someone do that to make the nurse's job harder? Update. The hospitals internet person replied and told me to call the patient advocate. I've delt with patient advocates before. Do you know what they can do for me? Nothing. Not a thing. They will listen and say "let me se what I can do". Then I'll get a letter in the mail letting me know they "looked into" what happened and it was all handled correctly except there could have been "better communication". Or I get a call back saying since we are no longer at the hospital, there is nothing they can do. This generic "call our number" is just the hospitals way of answering without helping so their rating goes up with Google. When you answer reviews, it gets you more points with Google. I gave you all the information you needed. I'm not calling patient advocates to be brushed off again. If you look at any one or two star review on here, they all have the exact same "answer from the owner". Word for word. No one cares, it's all for the traffic to their web site."

"I went to the ER after a fall. It was discovered that I had fractured my pelvis in several places. The ER staff was so kind and amazing. It was a very difficult time for me, and they made me feel so confident and were extremely tender. I was admitted to the hospital for three days. I went to the 9 floor, where the nurses and doctors and supervisors and aides were just as great as the ER. Kindness and caring and expertise go along way when you feel so helpless. My experience, though difficult, was made doable by all these wonderful Utah Valley Hospital employees! They deserve a five star rating for certain."

"My 6 year old needed appendix surgery at 6 pm on the Saturday before Christmas and everyone in the Pediatrics department was amazing. From getting us in and taken care of quickly to making her feel as comfortable as possible, it was all great. Being at the hospital on Christmas is no fun but they made it so much easier! The nurses Kari and Tara specifically were my daughters favorites"

"Dedicated people, caring on the difficult time. It hard to say that a Hospital is good when a loved one is sick there, but they did their best to minimize the pain. Dr Camp, Nurses Sara and Ryder, we appreciate all your efforts to the well being of my wife. Thank you!"
