"I'm surprised by the ratings for this surgical center. I just had plastic surgery yesterday. From the time I arrived to the time I left, they were ALL fantastic. The receptionist was so kind, she could tell I was nervous, and she calmed me right down. When I went back to pre-op, the lady who put in my IV was SO KIND, and i began to relax even more. The anesthesiologist was one of the best I've had. He explained EVERYTHING and answered every question. In the OR, I told him to please let me know everything you're doing and let me know before you start putting in the medication, and he did. He said, "I'm putting on your blood pressure cuff now, I'm putting this on your finger for your heart rate, and now we're ready to put in the medication. Are you ready?" I said "Let me take a few deep breathes, he said "Take your time, I'm right here with you, he grabbed my hand which was so kind and calming, and I said "OK, I'm ready" and I was out. He was EXCEPTIONAL. After surgery, I hadn't slept the night before because I had to be there at 5 a.m., and I was exhausted. I was out of surgery by 1 p.m. It was a 7 hour surgery, and they allowed me to sleep and wake up on my own. Which wasn't until 5:00 p.m. Once I was awake, they helped me every step of the way to get dressed, SO KIND, sweet, attentive. I've had several surgeries over the years, and this BY FAR was the best experience I've had. Every person I spoke to was calming, kind, and just incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!"

"They lack communication with scheduling appointments. Schedule my mom surgery on July 27th. Usually there is a call to go through what to do before surgery but we never got that call. So I called them and they said, "I don't see your name here" bruhhhh"

"Came here a year ago early at 6am for my sons dental procedure. The receptionist was friendly and gave us everything we needed upon arrival. Procedure was simple, dentist explained everything in simple terms, nothing complicated. Mind you my son has autism and he was well taken care of by the staff. After an hour my son was released and we got home all smiles. I believe the experience was awesome due to our dentist being a long time patron of the center. Expectations were well explained and above par in execution, can't complain at all."

Every single staff member was smiling, friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about me and my needs. They kept me informed about everything that was happening and kept me calm and comfortable. They all had a great sense of humor and made me laugh which kept nerves at bay. I would absolutely send anyone here with any surgical needs."

"I really can’t speak highly enough about my experience at Riverwoods Surgical Center. Every person I interacted with there - front desk, pre-op nurses, nurse anesthetist, and post-op recovery nurses - was amazing. They were very thorough in preparing me and explaining everything that was going to happen and what I needed to do to recover. I was not even nervous going in to surgery (I thought I would be) because they were so helpful and kept me updated at all times. They were also just really warm and kind and approachable, and always made sure I was comfortable and asked what I needed. Really fantastic care and service."
