I was buying a gift set for my dad and the gal who was helping me was amazing! She had so many helpful suggestions and really walked me through the whole thing. "It was okay, just kind of weird. I walked in and the fella behind the counter was quiet for a little while and then hollered “What’s up?” which threw me a bit to get greeted like that by a stranger. I asked if they had any onion oils and he just kind of shrugged and said “I don’t think so, but we have a glazed onion balsamic vinegar.” Just as I found a shallot oil and scallion oil, which had sticker labels on a wheel which said Leek Oil instead, so that was confusing. He also had no idea how any of it was processed, just said everything’s from Italy. He couldn’t answer any of my questions, including questions about shelf-stability of the onion oils, and gift bags, or more than one complementary combination (Italian Herb oil + Lemongrass balsamic vinegar). He also seemed to have some difficulty with the Point of Sale system, so by the end of it, I was willing to pay full price rather than join any kind of rewards system, just to be able to get out of there sooner. Everything was tasty, it was just rather uncomfortable. I suspect I might have had a different experience if his wife had been there instead, since he kept telling me to save my questions for “when you come back. She went there, she knows more than I do.”"

"What an absolute gem of a shop! After being repeatedly recommended by a friend to try this shop out, I sampled several oils and vinegars and was amazed at the quality and variety. We do a bunch of Mediterranean and Indian cooking and the selection of oils for both cuisines was fantastic. The strawberry balsamic vinegar was an absolute surprise and has become a healthy salad dressing replacement from my store bought ones. Best of all the folks who work at the store are incredibly friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend anyone who cooks to check this great merchant out."

"My husband and I were walking around the plaza and stumbled in here. So glad we did! We left with Mango Balsamic (for salad), Cask 10 Balsamic Vinegar (10 year aged for steak, meats, etc), Smoke Balsamic Vinegar (for glazing meat etc), and olive oil as a gift for a friend. Pam and her staff were super helpful and educational!!! We got to taste a lot of different samples. These will replace our salad dressing, A-1 sauce, and make our cooking so much healthier... and better tasting! Wish I knew about this place sooner. Hidden gem to add to your kitchen and as great gifts for others."
