"I was lucky enough to stay here while the owner was in town, a VERY nice and friendly man. Although all of you may not experience this as he is not always in town, while the owner is there, the hospitality is absolutely amazing. We wanted to grill some stakes but had no materials to do so. The owner personally went into town, bought us charcoal and lighter fluid, brought us some of his own plates and silverware, and was the most attentive and helpful person throughout the entire stay. If you ever get a chance to meet him, you are in luck!! Aside from that, the room I was in was very spacious and clean, the view and location is amazing, and unlike many lodges the hot tubs are open 24/7!! I will admit I was slightly disappointed by the breakfast, but I believe for what they charge for the rooms you are still getting quite a bargain. Overall, my experience was great and I am very satisfied and pleased with my stay. I do not wish to try any other hotel or resort in Ouray, The River’s Edge Lodge can consider me and my family long term and loyal customers."
"River's Edge Motel was very friendly. John who runs the establishment was very hospitable and caring. Our room were clean and neat with all that we need for us to be ready for the great views around Ourey. Hot tub was a relaxer for and the complimentary simple breakfast bags made our hikes allot easier to bring and enjoy. I highly recommend coming here for anyone that wants to enjoy the mountain life with a good rest."
"This was a great stay. They are a very sweet family that run this. Not only was my room upgraded but many small details were on point here. There's a dog park next door and they provide additional perks for your pups. Anyone interested in staying close to Ouray...STAY HERE!!! THANKS GUYS :)"
"Good clean rooms. No frills but has everything we needed. Beautiful grounds right along the river. Nice seating area by river and hot tubs with river and mountain views too."
"Rivers Edge is a cute and comfy place to use as your home base. The staff is great and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location can’t be beat! We were lulled to sleep every night by the river running right outside our door. We used the hot tubs every night and they were clean and quiet. I highly recommend Rivers Edge."
