Ross Dress for Less

"It's disappointing to stand in a store and watch people steal while I’m standing in line to pay for my merchandise. I understand that they can’t stop them, but why have three security guards stand at the door and tell them not to come back? Meanwhile, one register open at least ten people in line while two employees putting rings from the hangers and pins from the merchandise that’s supposed to stop people from stealing into little bins while watching the line get longer and longer."

"Shopping here is not fun anymore thefts are everywhere in the store ànd no one is doing anything to stop them what is the point to find a box open but nothing inside All the good items gets stolen verry quick plenty of cameras but nothing has been changed Better work on security and don't just let people take items lik that in front of everyone"

"Terribly disappointed by my experience at this Ross location. My mother had a breast biopsy and was in need of a different type of bra to find comfort through the evening. My brother and I hurried to find a store open and were so thankful to find a Ross open until midnight. I arrived at the store at 11:49pm and saw customers in the store. I ran in and was rudely told the store was closed. Looking at the customers in the store and down at my phone, I said "well it looks like you close at midnight and I'll be quick". I turned to run to the bra section and was told "you have 5, 5, 5". I turned back and asked for her name and continued back for what I came for. I made it to the front to check out and Maria rolled her eyes at me. I asked another sales associate if she wouldn't mind checking me out and she was gracious and kind. I explained to her that I could appreciate them wanting to get home but I was thankful they were open in our time of need. Our Mom is a remarkable person and needed these particular bras to be able to sleep in peace. I went to leave and Maria made another snide remark. I looked at her and said "Maria, got it". To signify my intent to report her and she responded with "Get it and get out" and proceeded to laugh. I have never experienced such an unprofessional sales associate. During undergrad I worked in retail and remember the importance of customer service and representing the brand. I imagine Ross holds their employees to a certain level of professionalism. But I was astonished by her lack of customer service, poor attitude and unnecessary combativeness. My receipt reads a check out time of 11:53p. I was in and out of the store before midnight, before the doors were locked or registers closed out. I can't imagine Maria's behavior is the standard Ross has for their associates."

"My sister and I have been traveling throughout the night in search of bras for our mother who had a procedure earlier in the day. With no luck we saw that Ross was open until midnight so hurried in the snow to get there before closing. We got there at 11:49pm. My sister was greeted by the rudest employee named Maria. Upon entering, Maria told my sister they were closed, which was not true as they were not closed until midnight. After calling her out on her lie and telling her we had 10 minutes, she then told my sister she had 5 minutes in the form of just saying “Five…Five.” We were in and out. Took 4 minutes to find what was needed, make the purchase and share the disgust with Maria to another employee who agreed that her actions were absolutely unnecessary. Upon leaving Maria barks at my sister with a “Midnight” while locking the doors with more berating comments. Having a Ross location open until midnight is certainly appreciated in our time of need as I know everyone wants to get home to their family, loved ones, get rest, etc, but working in retail myself, this is a true example of how not to act and treat people while in customer service. Maria’s actions, comments and overall manner was truly disgusting, disheartening and beyond unnecessary. She is the epitome of poor customer service. If this is who Ross has representing their brand, I would certainly stay away from not only this location, but the entire establishment."

"I enjoy going to these types of stores- but was quite disappointed today. There was just a huge pile of trash that stayed there the entire time I was shopping while employees were standing by talking about some clothes they wanted to buy for themselves. There were racks in the way of other items. Hard to navigate through some aisles that were just trashed. The pile of trash customers had to walk around or go another direction because they had a cart was unacceptable. Had some good laughs though from things other customers (or employees maybe?) put in other items."
