"Trystan, Xavier & the rest of the GFS shop gang are great dudes. This is a problem because it's always a good time hanging at the shop, but I'm constantly tempted to spend more $$$$ than I should since they have such a strong selection of quality rods, flies & gear In the past few months I've purchased a quality rod + reel from them & helped a family member pick out his first 8wt. In both cases we had a good experience testing a couple of rods in the parking lot and there was absolutely no pushiness / attitude / etc that I have experienced at other shops in the state I would slot this shop up there with other personal favorites in the Rockies such as Blue Ribbon Flies, Taylor Creek, Galloup's Slide Inn, Duranglers, & Montana Troutfitters Best streamer selection on the Front Range by far! "We booked a trip while on vacation from Florida. Our guide was Sean and he made our trip unforgettable. We had never fly fished before but Sean had my wife, son and I ready to go in 15 minutes and covered all the basics. He kept us on fish and taught us all about each kind and their behavior. "I initially shopped here just for flies and everybody was very helpful and got me on some fish in the area. "Was heading to Iceland and needed a new setup to target some large trout. These guys were absolutely awesome. Super knowledgeable, have all the best gear in stock, and spent close to an hour with me going over rod options, flies and other gear to make the trip more successful. The owner gave me the “secret” fly (articulated streamer). Caught so many on it the guide asked if he could have it after the week of fishing…. My new go-to fly shop in Colorado."
