Reviews
"Be careful when you make a purchase and need it to be delivered. They held our furniture hostage and then said they would deliver it one full month after saying it was available for delivery. And it is the holiday month. Very unprofessional. And good luck talking to anyone. I spent 1 hour on the phone just trying to talk to a real person. I love my new sofa, but what a poor experience to get it."
"The woman with an accent at customer service is the least helpful person I have ever met. I ordered a $270 coat from Macys online and it got lost in the mail. They sent me a replacement coat even though I asked for a refund and assured me I could return it when I received it. I eventually received it, but when I took it to the store, the woman said it returned for $0 and that I had already received a refund which is not true. The replacement coat was what she saw in the system as a “refund.” She had me call the online call center from her phone (which was also not helpful) and supposed I would get a refund within a few days. I waited a week, checked the website and it still said there were no transactions other than my initial purchase. I did a chargeback with my credit card it card company after reading on Reddit that Macys does this all the time. I thought I would give Macys in store a second chance and bought some jewelry yesterday. I decided to return it today after overbuying for Christmas. The people in fine jewelry couldn’t process the return, shocking. Finally they figured it out by my Macys reward I used was refunded first before the cash, even though I purchased other items. Just know that Macys is a scam. Do not buy anything online ever and do not purchase anything in store unless you are 100% sure you want to keep it."
"We ordered our mattress and set up our delivery back in August. They told us to be available a specific time, so we arranged our schedules and stripped our old mattress so we could swap them out. Then, after the delivery window closed, they let us know that it wasn't coming. This has happened FOUR times now. Get your mattress elsewhere."
"Let me preface this by saying that I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to leave a review for my experience at Macy's today. I could tell by the woman that was at the returns counter the minute that I walked in that she was going to be totally unhelpful and true to form she did not disappoint. I hate to say that she was frog-like, but I wasn't able to get her name as her name tag was covered, all I can say is that it started with a g so frog like is the best description I can give; along with a slash of inappropriately red lipstick. I've been a customer of Macy's for many many years and I just have to say that wow Macy's has really gone downhill. The issue at hand is I came to return a set of shoes which I had changed the laces out for more appropriate laces than the ones that came with them. I forgot to put the laces back in the shoes when I brought them back to Macy's, and was immediately denied the opportunity to return them. I offered to purchase laces at the store if that was an issue, or exchange those shoes for another pair of shoes that I liked and give them those laces, or a myriad of other possibilities and avenues to not have to haul the shoes back to my house and then come back to Macy's. I asked if there was a way I could leave the shoes at Macy's to come back in the afternoon to finish the transaction. All avenues thoughts or ideas as to how to complete this transaction successfully were immediately shot down and not even considered by the unnamed woman whose name starts with a g. In days gone by, when Macy's employees had pride in their appearance and engaged in some of the most top notch customer service in the industry, SOME form of solution would have been worked out so that I left happy. Apparently that's not the case anymore at macys, which appears to be dying from a thousand cuts committed by employees like that woman. Sad but true. Update: as I was standing outside figuring out how was going to haul these shoes back and still make it to my tailor before 5 who comes walking in front of me but the very same lady in question. So if you came through to me that the reason why she didn't want to help me was because she was about to go. WEAK"
"They have a great collection of merchandise and great offers as well. However, I had to wait for 10 mins at the checkout counter as there was no one to attend. It's frustrating."
