The Pointe at Cedar Rapids

"During the month of August we had assistance with the rent because I was in surgery and out of work. Iowa Finance Authority verified that they had sent the check to The Pointe. The following month I had a notice on the door that August was not paid. I called the office and the lady who answered my call verified it has been paid and it was a glitch in the system. I received another notice and called again. This time they said we owe for August even thought IFA and office previously confirmed it has been paid. They also started assessing bogus fees on us with deliberate lies such as broken glass in doorway which was false. These people are crooks and will try to squeeze more money out of you. Stay away."

"We have been here almost 2 years. The office staff and maintenance personnel have been great. They all a very personable and respectful. When we did have a couple maintenance issues they were dealt with and fixed I'm very reasonable time frame. I have read some of the other reviews, and would like to hear both sides of the story"

"I had a bad experience. The walls of the cottages apartments are very very thin, I could hear everything going on in my neighbors place, to the point it was disturbing my sleep at night. Sarah in the office is incredibly unprofessional and tried to twist your words. I took her to court and was able to get out of my lease because my apartment was causing me so much discomfort it was affecting my sleep and health. Sarah is a slumlord that lies and manipulates to get out of taking care of her tenants. What a sad place to live, you can certainly do better look elsewhere!!!"

"i would have to say that the #1 positive of my experience with The Pointe is the amazing staff i got to work with through out the application process. Dont let forget to mention its the only property that returns the $50 application fee if ur denied. The amenities are great. Year round pool, excercise room, laundry facilities, and very calm and quiet at all times of the day and night. Secured entrance is always a plus. Staff always gets back to me within short time of whatever i may ask of them. the property outside as well is beautifully maintained."

"The office people are very nice and extremely helpful. I can say the same for the maintenance people that I have met - always nice and wave when they see me out on the property. I don't know how they all keep so organized with such a large property but they do. I refer people here all the time and for good reason. They are one of the few properties that offer short term leasing options and if you need a furnished apartment they will refer you to the right people. I love this property and the indoor pool - YEP! If your thinking of living here - do it - you will be happy."
