Baymont by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

"Rented the Jacuzzi Suite on a Sunday night. The guy working the front desk was very polite and friendly. He worked quickly to find an available room for me and my guest. The check-in went smooth. The room was clean and ready for guests. The room was spacious. It had a large king size bed, an oversized reclining sofa chair, the usual stuff like a TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffeepot. The bathroom was nice. Didn't use it lol. The Jacuzzi was very nice. It was extra large and the jets felt great. The room also had large horizontal mirrors around the Jacuzzi which made things interesting. The hotel does not have a pool or hot tub. I did see a business center and I believe a small gym. It also has an ice machine and 2 vending machines. They have a small area for continental breakfast in the mornings. Check-out was fast and easy as well. Over all I believe this place is worth staying at if you don't care about not having a pool. the price I paid for a king Jacuzzi suite was cheaper then what I've paid next door for 1 room with 2 double beds."

"In ceder rapids for two weeks for work training and booked this hotel, Desk staff are nice but the rooms are BAD first one I got put in to has what looked to be blood on or wall by the door the chair in the room has stains on it. I asked to be put in a different room which happened with no problem after showing the front desk the spot on the wall and the second room I was put in was a little better but I ended up checking out early after house keeping never came after three days to do anything in the room."

"There was a strong acrid chemical smell in the room. So much so within 10 seconds I walked out and asked for a new room. It was almost as strong in the second room but it was Christmas night and I needed sleep. The smell gave me a headache. I don't know if there was a ventilation problem or the wrong cleaning chemicals were used. I could only smell it in the rooms, not the lobby. I should have slept in my car! Just awful. Most Baymonts are so much better. Kalamazoo, MI is first class."

"Dirty dirty dirty. The hotel was in poor condition. The corners of the bathroom all had piles of dirt, there was a black hair in the shower on ledge where you would set your soap and shampoo. I had been bare foot in the room and when I got in the shower the water ran black from the bottom of my feet. When I turned on the exhaust fan it sounded like it was going to explode and then smelled burnt. I shut it off and reported it to the front desk. The bathroom door knob was also very loose. The breakfast was unappetizing so we went to the McDonald's next door instead. I could not recommend this hotel."

"This was a surprisingly good deal. Breakfast was actually really good and they even had croissant witches and other breakfast sandwiches as well as regular hot and cold items you would expect but took it a step farther. The rooms were clean and quiet and did not smell like they were covering anything up it was a really nice clean enjoyable stay."
