"Where do start with these apartments. I found this 3 bedroom 2 bath apt. here because the house I was renting the owner sold. The price was listed as 1700 something maybe 1800 something...application was an easy process...small deposit to move in..after utilities fees and all that extra fees added it came to about 1965 a month..if I wanted a garage extra 125 I think...I did a 6 months lease because i wanted to search for another home to rent..the day I moved in I saw the apartment and got my keys...the apartment was not painted..the holes in the walls was not patched from previous renters...tub was rusted..borders..fans..ac filters were dusty...the carpet was not new but was shampoo and cleaned u can tell..blinds were off colors yellowish/white...it wasn't properly cleaned like an apartment is supposed to be before moving new tenants in...I wrote everything down on the paper they had me document it on..it was during summer when I moved so it was hot...we moved in and the place was warm/hot...I turned the ac on and nothing .no cool air what so ever..it read 89 degrees...I put in a maintenance request as high priority...after weeks of dealing with a hot apartment and the maintenance men trying to fix it...I had to call multiple times to get an update on what's going on with my ac...the office at one point was clueless on what I was talking about..I made a call to the main management company and filed the complaint..still nothing..I decided to not pay rent until it was fixed and filed the papers with court...the following week it was fixed with a new ac unit. I had one of our vehicles stolen and found it 2 blocks away only to have my tire slashed the next day parking it back. I renewed lease another 6 months due to no luck in finding a home rental in the same area. Of course rent was raised and now paying $2,098 a month...totally not worth it...moved out and cleaned the place only to have them send me a bill for over 900 to replace carpet....excuse me...I was furious...it wasn't new carpet to begin with...maybe they should shampoo it again like they did before I moved in. They try to offer me another 6 months lease and raise my rent to almost 2,300....I put my notice in quick and found a house wayyy cheaper. People are never in the office and it takes them forever to fix a request...oh and there is always poop around. I will be emailing the head office for my move out charges. Do not rent here...tentants leave left and right here. The mailboxes are broken and they dont care. These apartments are expensive and its highly ridiculous. Management needs to make some changes."

"I used to love living here but management has changed in the last few years (see generic response from their staff on each negative review...) For starters, they can't answer their phone and there's no option for voicemail. If you actually need something from them you have to physically go in their office (unless they're on lunch!!) They are constantly raising fees for not just rent, but pet rent AND garage rent now too. Unorganized office administration is apparently unable to keep track of their renters lease agreements and then they charge the renter for that mistake. An entire panel of mailboxes has been broken since LAST YEAR and they still have a quarter of their tenants going to the post office for their mail instead of just replacing the panel. The maintenance is friendly but clearly spread too thin. If you need something in your overpriced apartment fixed, prepare to wait MONTHS for maintenance to fix/replace it, even if it's something small like a lightbulb. You'll end up going out and buying it yourself instead of waiting. In truth, you'll end up paying A LOT more to live here then what you initially agreed to on your lease. Very disappointing, especially during a time where apartments are so expensive. I'm a long time renter from Pinehurst and am now considering moving. What a shame to see this once awesome complex go so far downhill."
