"You get what you pay for and for a clean room and responsive (except at night) repair staff - Sonesta is a pretty good deal by hotel standards. My second stay at this location..Room was clean, mattress was clean, toilet was clean but clogged and I discovered only after first flush (fluid only). The hotel wasn't able to fix it until the next day, leaving me to use the lobby restroom till then. They did fix it though and had zero additional complaints during my 4-night stay. They have something they're calling breakfast but it's a couple pieces of fruit, oatmeal packets, yogurt and over-sweetened soggy prepackaged muffins. NOT even drip coffee. Super lame."

"I have been staying at the Reno Sonesta regularly due to my need to be close to my aging father.. First I wanted to note that my rooms have always been very clean with clean linen.. The hotel provides more than any other hotels with kitchens, accessories needed to cook your meal in your room with a full size refrigerator and ice maker at no extra cost.. I can’t say enough about the staff and their consistency to strive for excellent customer service.. I have allergies and special requirements myself due to health issues and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate me.. I had encountered an issue with my room location being in close proximity to pets and my allergies.. I informed the staff of my issue and allergies, and I was immediately accommodated, and given a room in an appropriate location.. The management and staff are what’s needed today in this line of business and raise the bar in regards to excellent customer service!!"

"I booked using points to cover my entire one night stay. Upon check-in I discovered that my points although already deducted from my balance were not covering my stay. The gal checking me in made a call and assured me that the problem was fixed and I was good to go. By the time I settled into my room I received an alert that my credit card was charged anyhow. Fast forward to bedtime, pulled back the covers to sheets with blood smears, hair and what felt like sand in the bed. Promptly packed my things and went to the front desk to check out. The same gal who helped me apologized and offered me a new room. I was absolutely over it by this time and just wanted to drive back home to California, which I did. It was 9:30 at night on Christmas and I was done. I was in the room a total of 6 hours, lost 17,500 points and my credit card was charged $204.30. Never again Sonesta, never again. Oh and the free breakfast didn’t exist because the kitchen was supposedly being renovated. Didn’t matter, didn’t stay as mentioned above."

"Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The guy a front counter was very friendly. We were impressed with our 2 bedroom suite. Nice clean felt homie.. we didn't have issues with anything. The only recommendation I would give would be to clean the vents in the room you can see the dust and more deep cleaning in drawers.. also breakfast was ok if it could go til 10 would be better. But the kitchen the fridge was clean all the handy utensils and microwave..was nice over all 9 out of 10."

"The is absolute the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at! The customer service upon check-in was awful! The room and floors were EXTREMELY dirty! The shower was filthy! The bedding was also soiled, especially the comforter! I had the representative come look and she was mortified. She said she would bring back new bedding and brought back a sheet and fitted sheet and I had to change the linen. There was no extra comforters or blankets so my husband and I were cold during the night. DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY! It is not worth the money you may save."
