"Horrible experience they discriminate and act like the stuff donated comes out of there pay !!! when you walk in and ask for items and they rudely tell you no without looking . then the lady behind you gets the wipes you asked for but your were told they were out!!! make it make sense ! They only help ppl they know and my family was denied for the Christmas program I was told they weren’t doing it this year and now I see them posting asking the community to adopt family’s when I asked several times about it The girl in the front has a personal problem with me and has made my experience with this place hell they cut me off after 7 pick ups but now they are saying it’s 10 but won’t give me dates this place sucks they pick and choose who they help and they don’t help when you need it and they have it"
"The first time I went to collect diapers for the baby, they told me that I must bring the birth certificate, but I did not take anything and I did not return there, as the distance was far from my home and I did not have a car.. The second time I went to get diapers for the baby, I gave them the birth certificate, but their treatment was bad, patronizing, and very racist, and she stood up. By giving me a small amount that is only enough for two weeks, on the other hand, there were two other women who gave them pads, milk cans, and what the baby needs when he arrives. She also gave them new clothes for their children. I did not know that, and when I asked her to give it to me, she gave me old clothes for the baby and told me that we did not have any milk left. Children, and I saw that there were a lot of them.. The third time, I went to get diapers for the baby, and that was after a month, of course, she told me that I must bring the birth certificate. I told them that I brought it the previous time, as she said that she would look for it after waiting 30 minutes, as she was talking on the phone with her friend, and she came and She said there is no such document, so I cannot give you diapers for the baby.. I told her I am not responsible for the loss of my documents, but I will contact my husband and he will send me a photo. When I told her this is her, she said no, proof of birth from the hospital. I told her, isn’t this notarized birth certificate enough? She said no, this is not it. .. After wasting 50 minutes of my time while she was arguing, I said to her, “Thank you. I don’t want diapers.” Bad and condescending treatment makes you feel like you are begging from them personally, and not as if it is a government center for helping mothers and children, as it is called.. That is insolence in itself.."
"If you are going to donate in this area THIS is the place to do it. Any and everything given goes directly back into our community. Something as little as blankets, plastic bags (new or used) or diapers they distribute... They don't care about red tape. This organization truly wants to help. Whatever you give will meet the hands of someone who needs it. Great non-profit!"
"My daughter has volunteered and taught mathematics to the women there and I have donated items and known several other women who have volunteered their time and talents to the many women who have been helped through WACCS. Pam Russell is the Director and an incredible asset to the organization."
