"My old pool pump was on its last legs. Arizona law states new pumps must be dual-speed or better to save on energy. I decided I could cut energy costs most by getting a new variable speed pump. I went to all the big pool supply stores in metro Phoenix but ran into one problem after another: pump was out of stock or long wait for installation or price was sky-high. I don't like to be put on hold for 20 minutes or waiting for days to hear back or feeling totally ignored. Thomas Birkel was not only speedy with his communications, but he focused on what I asked & what I wanted -- as opposed to trying to sell me what he wanted. And last but not least, Blue Cactus got me a price -- for a brand new famous-name state-of-the-art variable speed pump -- at a fantastic price lower than anything I could find on the internet, let alone in a store. So long story short I ended up just letting Blue Cactus Pool take care of everything for me: the pump; the installation; & changing out the sand in my filter.
