"Great studio for beginners! Mrs. O gives students every opportunity to learn and advance while keeping classes fun. Students learn respect, discipline and vicious self-defense techniques. Mrs. O encourages students to be confident and work together as a team. We bought a 6-week trial from a silent auction for our son for Christmas. He had never stepped foot in a karate studio. He now goes 3-4 times a week, learning weapons and sparring, and loves every minute! We never have to force him to go, he looks forward to every class! He is excited to work hard, learn more, and earn his Black Belt!"

Classes are taught by the sensei who is very patient and supportive, while expecting focus and discipline. I have never once heard him tell a student they were doing a move wrong, but only offering encouragement and a demonstration of the right way to do it. "I started training at DePalma's Mesa School in September 2011. I am currently ranked a Blue Belt with the goal of Black Belt and beyond. I am so glad to have found Mr. Gade and the Mesa School family as it has helped me in so many ways.
