"If I could give our experiences zero stars, I would. We’re from out of town. Our 2 yo son contracted RSV & we took him to PCH. The first time we went, we had to beg the provider for IV fluids since our son hadn’t had wet diapers in 12 hours. After much reluctance, they finally agreed to give him fluids. 24 hrs later our son became lethargic, high fever (103.4) and completely quit taking fluids by mouth. We went back to PCH. This time, the provider came in and explained her treatment plan of “Tylenol and a popsicle”. He didn’t take the popsicle, did not produce a wet diaper during our SIX HOUR visit and his sats fluctuated between 88-90. We insisted he needed fluids. My husband is a physician and even told the provider he has seen many dehydrated children and our son really needed fluids. They declined and sent us home. Our gut told us to take him to another ER. Upon arrival at banner they took one look at him and said “that is a sick baby”. Our son’s sats were at 77 upon arrival to banner. Fever 104+, lethargic, and very very sick. Banner treated him and ultimately ADMITTED HIM to the hospital. We are appalled with PCH’s lack of care and down right negligence (we consulted an attorney). Take your child elsewhere."

"This ER is by far the worst I’ve ever been in! My son is having chest pain, trouble breathing and walking at the same time, obviously it’s an emergency and ER is the place to go not urgent care. Well apparently I was wrong because when you head to this ER at 11:11 at night you will not see anyone for hours! Here we still are in a triage room for the past hour no assigned doctor, no nurse has checked on my son and it is 3:33 in the morning. He’s still struggling with chest pain currently snoozing, but registration comes in to make sure insurance is correct so they get paid right?!! When I tell her well is someone going to be in soon to actually see him because no one has been in here? She says oh let me check goes out for less than 5 minutes and says oh once he gets assigned a doctor then they’ll be in walks out. I’m not filling anymore paperwork out until he is actually seen and something is done so he’s actually getting some progress on what is going on with his breathing. I’m going to keep updating until we actually get out so people can see how long it really takes despite admin trying to say anything."

"First I’d like to say that I absolutely love PCH when it comes to their departments that specialize in various medical conditions. However, when it comes to their emergency room… absolute trash. My child had a serious injury (apparently not serious to them), & had us wait for 6 hours while my son could’ve been getting a serious infection from his wound. 6 hours! Would’ve been longer, but we left & found another PCH location that was much more efficient. Being told that they don’t know when your child will be seen & that there are a few people ahead of you while you literally watch others who came in HOURS after you be taken back for care before you.. it’s unreal. For those who are reading this, please consider me a reliable source, because my feedback/review is objective, unbiased, & pure facts. Do not take your child here if they’re not going to be transported to the ER via ambulance.. if you do, be prepared to wait for half of the day. They should be ashamed for the lack of efficiency. Very disappointing."

"Came twice for my daughter. She got seen pretty quick for being an emergency room. I would say most staff was nice. One lady, don't know her name, didn't have the nicest attitude. Doctors were awesome and nurses were the best! I'm thankful I can take my kids here for any emergency. The nurses let me know that no matter what, I'm not a disturbance to them if I bring my kids for certain things. One told me "you know them better than us and if you think there's something wrong, bring your kiddos in and we'll take care of them". You don't know how much that meant to me and my little ones ❤️"
