"I'm hoping someone else can avoid the experience I had here. I do NOT recommend sending your infant here for any reason-they are not capable of caring for them & frankly, should be inspected by the state. There were a few things on the tour here that didn't seem like that much of a red flag before I had a child, but quickly became concerning. You can only see the classroom on the tour-under no other circumstances. The teachers weren't interacting with the babies when I toured, & staff was unfriendly, but the director talked a big game and claimed they were the only non-DES provider in the state, so it sounded good. They use baby containers & my child was always in a swing for any picture they sent, & that's if they remembered to send them at all. My child has SILENT reflux, & I told the director he took a while to feed before he started. Despite having met my child a day earlier, they decided my four month-old had reflux because he was eating 6-7 ounces. Per Johns Hopkins' recommendations, this is normal for a 3-5 month-old baby. They told me they would not feed on-demand, & would not feed him what he typically ate, because they didn't feel he should be eating this much. Keep in mind, this is my child who I have been caring for his whole life-they knew him three days. They insisted he was spitting up-he never spits up. I have been feeding him his entire life without issues. This told me they were rushing through feeds, which you should never do with an infant-and not feeding a child on-demand that young is clinically insane. They logged MAX two 30-45 minute naps a day, then insisted they wouldn't feed him what he wanted to eat because he was sleeping through feeds because he was so full. It didn't make any sense. They would log that he drank all of his bottle, then insist he wasn't drinking all of his bottle, which again, he never does when I feed him. They were in a hurry. His reflux is silent. He never spits up. They're caring for young infants, & caring for them how they want to care for them-even if it means denying them food when hungry or rushing to make things more convenient for them. The director placed one BRIEF call to me before baby started, & they had me fill out one sheet with the absolute bare minimum of information. I expected them to ask questions about baby-they asked nothing. They didn't care about getting to know him. It's a business first & foremost, & they're only concerned with getting babies on a schedule that works with employees. Also, the teacher-to-student ratio is HIGH-2 teachers to 11 infants. A good daycare has less. They charge more than other daycares for substandard care. The last day kiddo was here, he ended up getting sick. He'd been there two days, and nowhere else prior to that. He was projectile vomiting. They'd have refused to feed him and called it reflux. The facility was NOT secure. They NEVER asked for ID, & never had us sign babies out-only in. I ended up touring a provider that takes DES funds, & they're a lot more regulated. Monthly parent-teacher conferences, focus on helping baby develop, etc. The facility kiddo is at now is actually secure-& I can see my baby at any time & talk to the teacher. They have daily logs parents have to fill out that tells the provider anything they might need to know to properly care for baby. This is how childcare should be done. Do NOT take your infants to this daycare. It is not safe. They also change babies every hour, which is ridiculous. They clearly line them up and just change them all at the same time, which is probably a factor in why they are rushing through feeds. Two carers changing 11 babies every single hour regardless is excessive. I agree w/ the other posters that left negative reviews that they have very out-dated practices. I seriously cannot believe that they think it's ok to not feed babies what they want to eat when they're hungry. They also appear to pad reviews, so just be aware of that. Were blatantly dishonest in response. I am so concerned that I contacted both DCFS, and ADHHS."

"Phoenix Prep has become a key part of our family in the last three years since our daughter started. Caring and kind staff, very strict rules and schedules that help ensure safety and consistency. The staff and Ms. Margot are super attentive to sick kids and make sure to be proactive when kids are sick. The facility has strict safety protocols for pick up and drop off, which is especially important with a location in the central city. Our daughter loves Phoenix prep. We felt like we lived in a “daycare desert” after touring several facilities that didn’t feel safe, qualified, or clean. Our 3 year old is regularly mistaken for a kindergartener for her verbal skills and ability identify letters, numbers, animals, and all sorts of everyday things. We are already getting worried about finding a new school when she is old enough for kindergarten as Phoenix Prep sets a high bar for our family."

"This preschool is great one! Overall 5 plus stars! Staff is very friendly and understanding. I brought my daughter here and she loves coming here. She is always so happy coming and leaving here. I use to take her to another preschool and she would never want to go & i always felt worried, I brought her here and i feel so much at ease now, she begs me to go in the morning because she enjoys it here so much! 100% recommend to any parent!"
