Main Event Avondale

"I live in Goodyear, AZ. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were here for a little vacation. They are from Upstate New York. Here are some highlights and some things that should be addressed. Pros: Fun: We had a blast! We played games, pool, shuffleboard, and bowled. My guests had a great time. For the four of us, we spent around $250 dollars on drinks, games, bowling and food. I don’t know if that is a pro or a con since we spent four hours there. Cons: Bowling: On lane 21, we had to reset the pins many times because they kept falling. We had to get our own drinks and food for a while until service showed up (maybe after the first hour of bowling). Safety: I was assaulted by one of your pre-teenage patrons. I was playing basketball and one of the boys punched me in the back unprovoked. I turned around and saw four boys snickering. I am a teacher and I automatically went into teacher mode and schooled them on how that is assault and you don’t know who you’re dealing with. One of the four boys said sorry and their smirks went away. I went to an employee and explained what happened and she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I decided to talk to my 6’2, 300 lb husband and 6’8, 370 lb brother-in-law instead. Luckily, they are very calm giants and, not wanting to ruin their fun, I let it go. We left soon after. I will probably never return and would not recommend going if your main reason is for bowling."

"The staff is very overwhelmed and is way understaffed to run efficiently. Multiple game’s were broken yet when kid’s swiped the cards games still would take credits from card. We started off the night bowling but had to stop to go get some drinks because waiter never showed up. Also, had to walk down to replace two people in our party’s bowling shoes because strap’s kept coming loose. Bowling was fun for the party but it took way too long having to wait 25 minutes for drinks and having to stop this much for not having updated bowling shoes. Lastly, we waited in line for about 15-20 minutes for laser tag. Then when we got to the front to go in the kind girl asked if we had registered. No one told us we had to register and then it seemed about 80% of people in line had to get out of it because no one was advised. Whoever’s job this was to advise people put this poor girl at jeopardy having to deal with upset customers for something she didn’t do. I would highly suggest firing this manager and getting someone experienced to take over. Main Event has so much potential at this location and would love to come back with these small changes."

"Me and my friends went as a last minute activity and we had a great time! Shockingly the pricing were good. If you only want to do the activities and steer away from the arcade, it will only cost $25 per person do unlimited play and a game of bowling. Including the bowling shoes, if costed me and my friends $30 each. We played laser tag multiple times and the gravity ropes. We also did bowling for 2 hours which is where we tried the nachos. The portion was HUGE and tasted incredible! Plan to come again soon."

"The food was actually amazing! Not like other bowling alleys. Lots of cool games for kids. It was a little pricey and the bowling lanes seem a little long but all in all definitely a good place to have fun!"

"This is a great place I had a lot of fun there I was there with a bunch of sober people The bowling was fun and the lazer tag was fun there was a group of us we had pizza sodas salad video games the whole works and our server Hannah was amazing she was on point the whole time thank you so much Hannah for your time I highly recommend going to the main event it's fun and very family oriented."
