"The Stone Yard is a great little family business that has the big guys beat 10 ways to Sunday! Great inventory of large surface boulders, lots of crushed stone, various sizes and type of aggregate. They give great customer service from helping you figure out how much rock, stone or sand you need and then work to your schedule for delivery. Competitive prices on all materials, nice fleet of trucks from 10 to 24 tons per load. Can't say enough good things about these folks, they're the greatest!!!"

"Just to drop a note on how great this company is and their customer service. The materials are of high-quality, and even when I have repeated orders, the matching of stones have been amazing. I give it five stars."

"Dealt with owner Candy. Nice lady, at first, but clearly has more going on than she can deal with. Called Stone Yard about bags of lava rock for landscape. Lie #1 Was given a price on a Wednesday, and Lie#2 was told she had all of the bags, Lie#3 she would put them aside, and that I could pick up Saturday morning. I agreed, and made the long drive out to The Stone Yard. I arrive and she says "oh sorry, we actually do not have all of the bags you want, but you can take the small amount we have", and that Lie#4 they would deliver the rest, Lie #5 free of charge the same day since it was her error. I knew I would not see them the same day, and was ok with that. She called the next day, Sunday and said she would Lie #6 have them delivered on Monday. Did not hear from her Monday, and I called her on Tuesday. She says they will deliver them Tuesday now, and then sends over a price per bag for much higher than originally quoted. When I question her, I am told that her supplier raised the price and they would not work with her on it. I reluctantly agree on a new price for the bags that were to be delivered. Delivery arrives, and it is ONE bag short of what was ordered. At least 3 bags were torn open, and spill out a when I move them into my back yard. I was also charged the new price on ALL of the bags including the ones that I picked up from her inventory the previous Saturday. At this point, I am upset, and call Candy. I explained to Candy that I am owed a credit for the one shorted bag, and also the difference from the bags from her inventory that should absolutely be the original price I was quoted. She agreed , she understood, and she even apologized and said Lie #7 the credit would go through the following morning. Two days later, she won't respond, no credit given. I called and her daughter Chrissy answered, and she argues with me that all of the bags are the full new price, even the ones they had in their inventory that I picked up (unacceptable) and that as far as the shorted bag of rock, that they aren't going to credit that either because they had to pay someone to delivery the bags to me. Again, I was told by Candy that due to her errors, delivery would be made free of charge. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Would never do business with a company like The Stone Yard. Lies after Lies, and stealing money from a customer. GO ELSEWHERE, unless you enjoy complete unprofessionalism, being lied to, and stolen from."

"Buyers Beware. In early November 2023, we purchased 14 ton of rip rap to fill gabion baskets. We received the load promptly, but as we removed the first layer of rock from the pile, we noticed that a large portion of the pile was dirt and small gravel, not rip rap. We had to spend a considerable amount of time digging through dirt to find more rip rap in the pile. We texted photos of the dirt pile to Candy at the Stone Yard and spoke with her about our concerns. We paid for 14 ton of rip rap, but as we went through the pile, almost half the load was not rip rap. She assured us she would make things right, but she needed to talk to the pit where the rock came from. We had to purchase a second load of rip rap in early December because the first one did not contain the 14 ton we needed for our project. When the driver dropped off the second load I showed him the huge pile of dirt left over from the first load and he assured us his load would not have that much dirt. We have reached out to Candy countless times via text and phone over the last 2 months with no resolution - we paid for product that we did not receive. It's concerning that Candy does not stand behind her product or keep her word. She told us she would make things right, but has not. Photos show how much dirt and gravel was under top layer of rip rap and the amount of dirt left after digging out the rip rap, compared to the second load of rock."
