"I’m so sad :( we usually go to another local nail salon, which we love but unfortunately their wait time is hefty and today we just didn’t have the extra time to spare. We have previously gone to Care Nails and decided to try them again. My partner had a great dip manicure with Iris, and I wish I could say the same for myself. My technician was overall inexperienced with the nail drill and nail file; drilling way too much of my nail to the point of burning and pain, drilling into my cuticles causing visible bleeding, filing straight up and down against the margins of my nail causing the powder to be filed right off and unable to uniformly smooth the dip powder on my nail. I kindly asked 3 times for her to shape the nail more uniformly and to thin out the dip powder, she did not see or identity the issue but kept asking if it was “ok?”. I showed Iris the issue and was told it was due to the light color of the dip powder and it required more coats. I routinely get light dip powder and haven’t had this issue before, additionally, the blood on my nail bed should indicate an issue with the drill operator. The more I look at these nails, the more sad I am. Hoping the technician is provided extra training so all services can be delivered uniformly and with consistency. Overall, the salon is bright, clean and beautifully re-modeled. I would be willing to schedule with Iris directly in the future!"
