"My friend took me here for my birthday and it was the first time either of us have ever dined here. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which wasn’t a very “shareable” appetizer. As you can see in the photo, the dip was about a centimeter deep in a rusty(?) little pan. The portion was disappointing but I didn’t want to complain or be a buzzkill as I was trying to enjoy my time with my friend. The rust is probably a health code violation but I have my tetanus shot so I figured I would be fine from the few bites I ingested. My honey chicken sandwich was delicious and filling enough, thankfully. I’m glad the sandwich was enough because the mashed potatoes came in a very small serving size (like kid sized). My friend ordered the fried chicken (it was the special of the day) and she said it wasn’t very good, but not bad enough to complain (I think she was just trying to be nice and didn’t want to complain or be negative since we were trying to enjoy my birthday.) she liked her cornbread but shared the same opinion on the portion size of her mashed potatoes and spinach dip. Outside from the food issues, our servers did a great job checking on is and keeping our waters full (we had two servers because we arrived during shift change). We got sat right away and there were very few customers at the time (3pm ish on a Thursday)"

"I came here with some good friends. The food was delicious. Just watch out for the spicy hot peppers that come with the salmon dish. The server was nice and attentive. Great place to eat with friends."

"Busy Sat night but to my surprise, I got the table immediately. The waiter was extremely dedicated and he looked very happy to be at work(of course we topped him extra). Ordered the weekend special - Whisky soaked prime ribs and omg, best prime ribs ever! Charboiled on the outside and the smoky flavor is beyond words. It came with salad so I picked Caesar salad. The salad came with some capers so it’s different than normal salad. I enjoyed it very much. Also ordered the fish and chips and it was alright. It’s been a long day so added a red velvet cake that has vanilla bean ice cream and cream cheese frosting. It’s a huge slice! No kidding. We could only finish half of the dessert."

"PROs: Great location. Plenty of parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings. Decorum is a mix of a fine dine & rustic pub. The service and staff is transparent and friendly. No wait, quick to be seated. CONs: We didn't find anything displeasing. We were finally able to check out this place after the construction dust settled despite us moving out of KC. This may be our go-to breakfast place over the boorish places nearby when we come back to town."

"Burger was cooked to perfection on a char grill. I’d double or triple the bacon. Sweet potato fries are OK but cooked too done and crispy … takes away from the sweet potato flavor. Fried pickle appetizer was good. Service was excellent…friendly, attentive servers."
