"Love the view. Nice, big room, but the check-in person was disinterested at best. No housekeeping unless you ask. The room was very warm and all you can do is turn off the heat, no fan to circulate the air. But, good for the price."

"We stayed here last night and we were honestly pretty disappointed. It was our first time visiting gold beach and we were skeptical upon seeing the outside of this place, it was very run down. Thankfully the inside of the rooms were not as bad. The website advertises 3 hot tubs, we were excited to use them. Only 2 of them appeared up and running, one was closed off. We used the only one which was available and quickly realized why no one else was in it. The water wasn’t even WARM. We froze after being in the water for only a few minutes. Why was this one even available to use?? We ran back to our room and were FREEZING. All we could think about was a hot shower. Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was super bad so that did not help much."

"I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. Polite staff, beautiful room and great location all for a decent price. It's right next to the beach so you don't have to drive. I didn't even notice until I checked in that there is a complimentary breakfast offered. Not one of the simple ones but one day, they offered biscuits and gravy, as well as yogurts, cereals, oatmeal, muffins and bagels. The 2nd day, they offered eggs and sausage and the other items mentioned. I would recommend this place and I'd stay there again."

"Me and my wife stayed here for a few nights on our trip traveling along the coast. The staff here were extremely helpful and understanding as we were cutting it close to check in before they left for the evening. The check in process was fast and super easy as we did it all online. We reserved one of their King size Oceanview suites. The properties along here are not right up to the waters edge but that's to be expected with how close they are to the Pacific. However it's not too far of a walk to the beach from the property. We had one issue with a leaky roof from an overnight and all day rainstorm. However they were very accommodating and relocated us to a different room that was next door with no hassle. We definitely recommend staying here as it was affordable cozy! Also the suite we had had a working fireplace. They do sell firewood in the lobby just as a heads up"

"We checked in and never heard or saw an employee again, which we didn't mind in a way since it was that Thanksgiving weekend. The room we got has a kitchenette and was VERY understocked. Be prepared to bring your own utensils and cookware or go spend an unexpected $30 at the local McKays. The room was tidy but also under clean. It has mold on the windows and the corners all had dirt in them. The shower was amazing though looked brand new. The room wasn't smelly but definitely was musty. It was a cheaper option and saved us money by us being able to cook in house which was a nice option. It is a good back up spot if nothing else is available in this price range at the moment. We could see the ocean out our little bay window too which was fun."
