"Friendly House kindly let our organization volunteer with them while on a company retreat. The staff was kind, organized, and thorough. Our group of 14 was able to help out with decorating for their Halloween party. We were impressed with all that Friendly House is able to accomplish. We were honored to contribute in even a small way to the good work Friendly House is doing and really appreciated hearing about the Volunteer Coordinator's experiences with Friendly House. "Many of the employees of the Friendly House are heavy smokers, and they always cross the road and come to our side to smoke and talk loud near our doors, and it happens several times a day. This school should have a smoking room inside, so the employees do not bother neighbors."

"I first discovered what Friendly House had to offer a few weeks ago. I appreciated the resources that they had to offer,such as a gym, bathrooms, and showers that one could use as well as internet service and free food to collect whenever needed. I was able to take advantage of free internet service that I was allowed, as well as the use of their phone to look for work since mine was not working; and I was unable to use because the service had been shut off due to inability to pay the bill. This privilege was granted to me at least 7 times. However, when I went in the 8th time, the bald headed gentleman at the desk as me if he can help me. I replied by saying "no". "I'll just go ahead and sign in". He then replied by telling me that I need a membership. How is it that this time, I'm not allowed to use the facilities without paying for a membership, when the previous 7 times, I was granted use of the facilities without having to pay?? And he was one of the staff that granted me free use of the computer and phone to look for work! Perhaps the Friendly House isn't so Friendly."
