Providence Children's Emergency Room at St. Vincent

"Let's start by saying my gf was there in the loddy because her port didn't work for fluid it's was building in her chest she had problems breathing. A Nurse came to check her blood pressure and her breathing But it was at 78 her air a second person came over I told then too get a air tank ... they left 30 minutes later a second lady came and said time too check your vitals we said someone already did ... the nurse said yes we see that they rote 95 for your air that's not true its 79 She said no its 95 your fine that's why nobody brought a air tank now she check it it was 75 ran grad a empty air tank hook it up .. got mad when we said it's empty. Took it off her pissed ran over grad a second air tank hook it up and put her back in the loddy What's going on Where are they.finding these employees jod fair. Or.a temp services"

"Went there in the evening after having issues with a surgery procedure I had in the morning. I just needed a quick ultrasound scan to confirm or deny symptoms. They did it in 10 minutes no charge! The two nurses that made this happen were absolutely amazing."

"Have been there many times. The staff have no idea how to treat me. I'm waiting for a liver and almost died last time I went. I needed blood transfusions and albumin. It took them forever to get me a room. I've seem a woman have a miscarriage in the waiting room blood was everywhere. I feel like you could die waiting to be seen."

"I got the feeling the Nurse didn't want to be there .... No personality which is fine but what wasn't fine was her picking out a tiny little vein that runs sideways instead of the huge vien that runs up and down my arm that every one else has used. So not only did it hurt like hell going in but I have a huge bruise at venipuncture site. I would have stopped her had I been paying attention. I've been supplementing my income by donating plasma twice a week for $120 a week. I cannot donate for at least two weeks (huge bruise on arm) so $240 that my family could have used will not be there to help pay bills. The Dr. Was fine not sure he got the diagnosis right but he really was a great ER Dr. Jay the physical therapist was great really made me feel comfortable and like he was genuinely interested in my ailment and treatment."

"Went here twice in the same week for a kidney stone. The first experience was excellent. I went around 3pm & was cared for around 3:30pm. The nurses were being sweet, helped me calm down & gave me snacks to make me feel better.I was still in pain, the doctor came in about 15-20 minutes. I was brought treatment & felt better instantly. The second experience was okay. This time I went in around 4:30am. I have trouble with needles so I was hoping not to get an IV done. The front male nurse called me back & punctured my vein all the way through, it swelled up & I turned lightheaded & dizzy. Everything turned white & I was sweating this always happens when I get blood work as well. Wait time was a bit longer, 6:20am they finally get me a room. It was a busy weekend but was treated good. X-rays & treatment done. Went out of the ER by 8am."
