"Place is clean and the front desk staff is really nice and accommodating. This is a great if you go on vacation with spouse. But i wish they have two queen bed room instead of double bed. Until they start to put in the 2 queen beds, I’ll have to find another place when I return to Monterey with my teenage kids. Overall its a good to place for me and my wife as a couple only."

"This hotel is in a great location but is in serious need of TLC. The cable went out the 1st night I stayed, my stay was for 5 nights, the front desk switched out the box, it still didn't work. The elevator was broken. The room was run down and needs a make over. The neighbor next door to me decided to have a fight at 130am pounding on the doors slamming her suitcase around, the front desk did nothing to help with the unruly guest. My suggestion, book across the way at the Marriott until the Hotel Pacific gets their act together. The Marriott is nicer and cheaper."

"I spent four nights here during a business trip for the California Association of Realtors last week. The rooms are all "Junior Suites" and were quite comfortable and the vaulted ceilings were very impressive. My room had a balcony that overlooked the main street and also afforded me a partial "peak-a-boo" view of the ocean. The continental breakfast was enjoyable. Fruit, yogurt, four cereals, assorted breads and bagels, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, coffee, tea, etc. I was pleased with the meal and it kept me full through lunch. The two courtyards were very relaxing and the waterfall in the main one did shut off at a reasonable evening hour. The location was a short 2 minute walk to the wharf, a 3 minute drive to Cannery Row, and a 2 minute or less walk to the convention center. 5 Stars in my book, for my needs. Whenever I had a question or a need, the hotel staff were right on it and deserve five stars. Now for the negatives. The outdoor spa was gone. Not really a big deal, but it was still listed on the site and I brought a swimsuit. There were issues with water ponding in the hallways after the rain. The elevator is older and the door did stick for one of my traveling buddies. As I stated above, my room overlooked the main street. This meant that it was noisy with traffic, car alarms being turned on and off, people walking and talking, etc. throughout the night. Also, as with all hotels there, it is in the flight path for the airport and planes are only about 100ft overhead by the time they get there. This is an issue for anything in that area. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the fireplace in the room. It was nice, relaxing, and warmed up the room nicely. Housekeeping is every three days, which is fine for that type of room and hotel. Since I was only there for four nights, I skipped the service so I cannot comment on that."

"Fireplace was the best part of room. The beds need upgrades, box springs do not do the back any good. There's no garbage can in the room. Only one is in the bathroom which isn't convenient if there's multiple ppl in the room. Location is great, walking distance to the pier. Breakfast was not bad, eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, bagels, cereal, orange juice, coffee, muffins, yogurt, oranges, and bananas. We make stay again but will need to bring and air mattress or foam to cover the bed. And it's just not me complaining about the bed, my partner is very sore as well."

"Room was nice, clean and spacious. The hotel has a rustic feel to it. The breakfast could be improved with adding scrambled egg and better quality of bread. Overall a good place and we would like to come back."
