SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Hayward

"The pictures are very very deceiving. The rooms and hotel does not look like any of the pictures. It’s by far more like a motel. Smell of cigarettes are very very strong. Lots of activity around the rooms to make for a long sleepless night. Felt uncomfortable. Also, deposit is $200 but on website it says $100. Not very happy! Never will I spend money at this place"

"Extremely rude, barged in while I was sleeping saying my parents service animals were emotional support animals and not service dogs when it clearly says on their paperwork that their type of registration is service dog. We had an hour to check out or they were going to charge us for the entire stay and we had already prepaid for several days. Extremely unprofessional."

"I need to vent about this place. I will NEVER stay at this location again. I stayed at this hotel back in August for 3 days. And come to find out, a house- keeper who works at this establishment has stick fingers. YES, during my stay there, my necklace all of sudden came up missing after house-keeping went in and conducted services. Now, their unrealistic policy is: If house-keeping does not see the signage on the door, they have a right to enter into your guest room. That is not right! House-keeping should not enter into a guest room if the the room is still occupied by guests. Have enough respect to not enter. Because of this ridiculous policy, my luggage was open on the bed, exposing a small jewelry box I had in it. I return to my room, see that house-keeping was there and my necklace gone when I immediately checked my belongings. To add insult to injury, the Manager attempted to kick me out of the hotel because I asked if I should call the police and make a report. I even sent a complaint letter to the corporation office regarding this, and still to this day no response back. So, if you ever stay at this hotel, lock your belongings up tight. Make a mental note to yourself to put the signage on the door. Because if that signage is not present, house keeping will still enter at default."

"I used to work for the general manager whom fired me on my day off at a different location. I stayed at the whipple location and was not given my deposit. Accused of smoking in room. No smoke alarms went off, no smell of cigarette or weed . I think I need to file a lawsuit. Be aware of this place . Bad business!!! I don't recommend this location nor the Milpitas location . General manager is money hungry and a lier."

"Let me vent for a moment. I stayed for two days, and I deliberately left a tip in the room. However, when I returned the next day, the bed sheets were not changed, and the bed was not even made properly. They only replenished the towels and took out the trash, but they took the tip? What? The room size was okay, but the ventilation fan in the shower was so noisy that it made me question life choices. The washbasin was placed outside the bathroom and was incredibly small, making it difficult to organize my toiletries that I brought along. They offered a free breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon, but surprisingly, there were no waffles. The hotel is located near the highway, so the noise was somewhat tolerable."
