"Spectacular shows and theatre performances, I was a student at Dos Pueblos, and during my time there every show I watched was amazing. The acting quality is superb and the director is an awesome person. My little sister is currently an actor for the theatre company and she really like how everything is being done backstage. Getting into more appearance and logistical related things, there is a huge parking lot, with wheelchair parking, as well as handicap ramps to reach the seats. It's a large, beautiful, high-tech theatre with some of the best sound projecting architecture out there. The technology is also very current and new, and it is well maintained. Everyone should go and check out their shows!!!"
"Dos Pueblos Theater Company is the working company, made up of DPHS students, who produce shows each year at the Ellings Theater. This company had the experienced and thoughtful direction of Clark Sayre, Theater program teacher of many years. Student take theater classes as electives, and audition for shows. See the list of phenomenal shows produced here in the past several years. Last year, Disney awarded the program with a first run of Newsies. The final production exceeded everyone's expectations! For the past few years, students with a strong interest in musical theater have joined the company, and many of the productions have been exceptional works, with music, dancing, and acting all reaching a very high bar! Get alerts at this website and come see the next play. This week, April 12, 2019, it's West Side Story, a wonderful tribute to Puerto Rico, and still a fascinating Romeo and Juliet story, exploring the psychological fallout of discrimination and prejudice. This play is still strong, 61 years after it was first presented on Broadway."
