Weekes Community Center Park, located at 27182 Patrick Avenue in Hayward, California, is a popular tourist attraction operated and maintained by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. This beautiful park offers a wide variety of classes, activities, and special interest programs for visitors of all ages.
The facility's main hall can be rented for special private events from 8 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday and 8 AM to 8 PM on Sundays. With written approval, alcohol is permitted with certain restrictions. To check availability and submit a request for rental, visitors can complete the Request for Rental Form between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
If the requested date is available, the main hall deposit must be paid within 3 business days, and all fees must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. Applications can be submitted between 30 days and 11 months in advance, with exceptions for funerals and memorials. Permits will only be issued to adults 18 years of age or older. "Excellent place for cardio if you want to run around the park. There used to be a homeless issue there but they have since banned them from the park which makes it more safer. Play structure needs some work however with rusty swings and graffitied structures. Fair amount of fun for kids but I would still choose this place for exercise rather than for kids in the play structure."
