"Bought putty to repair the wall, and when I opened it, it was all dried out and unusable. I don't want to try and take it back because of very unpleasant experiences before trying to return defective items at this store. I'll just buy a new one at the local Ace Hardware near me where I can count on the staff being decent. Not going back to this store. I recommend a goal of BETTER customer service to the Florida Avenue Hemet store. And another thing, I learned after going to Ace, that the employee at home depot recommended the wrong product for the repair I was doing. He pointed out stucco for exterior, but my job is interior. This store needs drastic improvement."

"I was there picking up misc items for various little projects. Last item was 1 X 3 x 8's 2 of them they're located in the back near big doors. The area was closed off for forklift in & out I waited along with others while the employees took the break outside talking for about 10 mins when he finally acknowledged me he told me it would be closed for 35 minutes! I ask can I just grab 2 boards 9 ft away from me while the forklift is outside and he said no come back in 35 minutes! We all left the store......5 sets of customers with decent sales lost!! That's BAD!!!"

"Everyone was friendly! Helpful! It wasn't very busy, but we did visit on New Year day... Still, it was a good visit. The only negative was that during checkout the credit card machine was erroring out. Lucky we had enough cash, because they offered no solutions to, "the machine always has issues." Always?? Does the management not care that their form of accepting payment is failing? Otherwise, a flawless experience."

"Great store! The staff is more attentive than some of the other hardward stores! And as usual i got to use my veterans discount! I want to add an addendum: I have written reviews for four years. And I have been in more Home Depot’s than I can tell sun the late 1970’s since just before I joined the US Air Force. The first Home Depot that I ever visited was in Willow brook California a few blocks from where we lived in the William Nickerson Housing projects in Watts. I went yesterday to my newest and nearest Home Depot. After going through the trouble of the “Veterans discount” debacle for the umteenth time I will NEVER try to get that discount again. I refuse to waste time having the clerks help me sign up again for every store. I used to just show my VA card at the check out when I remember and it was easy. But it stopped being easy when we had to bring our email address in it. The last time that I took the extra time go sign up for the discount was December 2022 in nearby Moreno Valley. I was given 100% disabled veterans status since 1994. And I officially renounce anything that Home Depot offers veterans. That includes veterans parking. They could do better. Anyway, I do enjoy their store because I am a home owner and an artist. The store is run well otherwise and has things that I don’t know that I need. But I will no longer have the frustration of getting to the cash register and open up my email address if my name disappeared from their computer. I will just shop for what I need and keep my service history to myself."
