"Tops has been up and down over the years. I haven't heard really good things about this location though. I met a friend for lunch. Order was easy. Food came out quickly and was really good. Tops like a lot of places is only as good as the management. This was no exception. The manager was Tops and helps make them a success."
"The food was cold and did not taste good. We were dining in and served in to go dishes. The BBQ nachos were cold and tasted terrible. The fireman burger was cold and a sloppy mess. The regular BBQ sandwich was just ok, but why eat ok BBQ in a BBQ city. The people working there were friendly and the restaurant was clean, but at the bare minimum when dining in serve the food hot or even warm on dine in trays not cold and to go. I threw my food away, it wasn’t good."
"Only get 2 stars because the french fries were the best thing out of the order. Young lady on intercom was rude, get to the window to pay and soda was all on the outside of my cup. I ask for napkins and her response was "they'll be some in the bag." As far as cost; $17.53 for 2 combos (pulled pork and brisket), I paid $10.00 too much for these mediocre combos. These are the photos of the so called sandwiches (dont let the pictures fool you) I got which were the size of sliders. The brisket had more pulled pork in it than brisket and I know my bbq. I'm not even going to comment on what they call cole slaw. Hadn't been to a Tops since I was a young man and this is my last time ever going. If you want a mediocre meal w subpar service, Tops is the place for you..."
"Stopped by Tops for some great Memphis BBQ yesterday evening. It’s a great experience that takes you back in time. Always greeted when you enter by the counter folks. You can hear the chopping of the meat, the cry of “order up” and the smile of the server bringing it out for you! We has a couple of combo sandwich plates. They were great, fresh & hot right out the pit. And all that for about $20 bucks, that’s a deal!!!"
