"Nice memorial. On a nice walking trail. I'm conflicted on the lack of a proper restroom, considering its proximity to the children's playground, but I guess a chemical toilet is better than nothing, it's by the street entrance. Oh, the running water restroom might be open. They're a short walk west along the path, by the ball fields."

"This park is named in memory of my dad, Jim Burks. The land for the park was donated by my grandparents, Burton and Frances Burks. I now have a two year old who loves to come play at this park. I do wish there was a restroom nearby, but the playground is wonderful for young kids."

"They keep adding thing to remember fallen heroes and its absolutely perfect! I love bringing my boys here and talking with them about the freedom and protection we have thanks to those who have served for us in every way. It's always clean, peaceful, and the children get to play while I enjoy life! Thank you!"

"As a veteran, this was a beautiful park to take my children to and have a conversation about what it meant to me that a place like this exists. They had so much fun!"

"Love this park area. Nice quiet area that isn't typically crowded or too busy. My little one really enjoys the play area, especially the slides. We typically venture down the walking path to the adjacent section of park to go see the rock water fall area that is a good way to cool off on a hot day."
