Days Inn by Wyndham Granbury 1201 North Plaza Drive, Granbury, TX 76048

"I chose to stay at the Days Inn in Granbury because of the positive reviews, but after some thought, I thought I needed to make an honest review of the place. When we first checked in, she put my family (2 adults, 2 children) into what we were told was a non-smoking room, and were warned that if we smoked in the room, there would be an extra charge (we don't smoke, but she made it VERY clear). When we went to the room, it smelled heavily of smoke, and the room didn't look clean. There was lipstick on the sink, and the doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned after several guests. We immediately went back to the desk, not wanting to be charged for the smoking smell, and they moved us to a new room. Since it was late, we did a cursory check of the room and it seemed at least better than the last one, but still not CLEAN clean. That night, my husband saw several roaches in the room, and in the morning, when I tried to take a shower, the water spigot flew off and hit me in the leg. We went to the desk, and asked for it to be fixed, and we were told that the repair person would not be available to fix it, and they moved us to yet another room. In this room, there were leftover Sonic cups and beer in the fridge, and again, the room was not clean. When we went to the front again, he told us he could offer us a "good" room this time. At this point, my husband and I were done. We asked if we could have a refund, and the manager told us that he couldn't do it from his end, but that if we applied through the service we had booked the room through, he would not block it. We applied for a refund through Hopper (what we had booked through) and were told that the hotel was not responding. We drove back to the hotel again, and he said "he didn't realize that that's what the calls were coming from." Then, when we received a response from Hopper, they told us that we would only receive a refund for the one night that we hadn't stayed there. We drove back to the hotel again, as he had told us that he would not block a refund, and only then did he tell us that he would not offer us any refund for the time we had been there. Needless to say, this was not an enjoyable experience for my family. I absolutely do not recommend this location, and would strongly recommend a hotel that you know at the very least, cleans their rooms."

"Was a great place to stay and has a great pet deposit. But was told the day before we had to leave. Said they had booked our room . Before we had a chance to pay for another week. Also housekeeping walked in our room twice and once we had the do not disturb sign on the door."

"Came for baseball tournament to stay a couple nights and come into a large dirty spot on the bed, a piece of plastic off of clothing on the bed, three pillows thrown in random pile on bed and two didn’t have pillow cases, a roll of ripped paper towels was sitting randomly on table, dried spot on toilet seat like it hadn’t been wiped, shower covered in small hairs and dust fibers and something white stuck to the tub. Beds obviously hadn’t been changed so told front desk about it and was told couldn’t do anything but give new sheets since hotel was full and can’t move rooms. Would have rather got refunded and gone elsewhere but I’m too nice. Don’t feel comfortable here and beds are bricks with old, stained and hole filled bedding."

"Room was not stocked with towels. Vending machine was broken. Pillows provided were sized for a toddler and no extras were able to be provided. Sheets and blankets were covered in stains. Breakfast included consisted of toast you could make with bread that had been sitting out for days, or cold cereal. Don’t stay at this hotel. I wish I could get my money back for the terrible experience."

"Room was large with lots of space. Carpet was a little musty smelling and the tub was slippery. Told management and they said they would have it fixed. Bed was very comfortable. Nice location, close to restaurants and shops. Easy access and lots of parking. Not crowded. Friendly staff."
