"Love the staff at Kerrville VA, all the way from house cleaning, volunteers, maintenance staff to clerks and medical staff. "Hi, hello, how are you" are heard often in the hallways. I'm seen on the Pink Team and I could not get better care and treatment from clerks to medical providers. The Optometry clinic is small but never an issue getting an appointment. The clerk acknowledges patients quickly. Optometrists are very through. The eye glass department has a very knowledgeable staff, good selection of frames and staff is well trained to help pick the right frame for the right face."

"Received no care or assistance whatsoever. First I was told that I wasnt a veteran and to "go away" despite handing them my DD-214 and filling out all of their paperwork. Was told I would get a call back in 24 hours, that was 4 months ago in APRIL. After that ordeal, I showed them the digital ID that the VA website offers and they told me that "they dont know what that 'thing' is". So much for helping veterans."

"The management and staff consistently displayed friendly, professional, respectful, and supportive care for me. This care was demonstrated from the reservation process, the check-in through to my check-out process, in addition to my stay in itself. Thank you for making my visit a comfortable, enjoyable, and healthy experience. I am willing to drive across town to get outstanding care and service here."

"The Optical Shop is small and not busy like the other VA Hospitals. They will see Spouses, or Friends of Veterans as long as you bring on an outside prescription and the Veteran. The eyeglass discounts the Veterans recieve are passed on to the Family and Friends. You just check in with the receptionist at the eye clinic next the shop and she will alert the Optician someone is waiting. No appointment is needed, but the will see scheduled appoints with the Optometrist first. The glasses took less than the quoted 2 1/2 weeks. They had sunglasses, even the frameless kind a lot cheaper than other places"
