"The Benchmark team led by Jack installed a hyper-efficient new Mitsubishi mini-split for us last week, for a small (10x10) home office that stubbornly always ran 4-5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I was extremely happy with Jack's very thorough consultative customer service throughout the entire experience. I had been dismissively quoted low-end units by 2 other companies which asked very few questions and definitely didn't pay any attention to what I was aiming to accomplish - I needed energy-efficiency, QUIET operation, and some type of app-based control. Jack spent at least 20 minutes alone talking through the tough installation scenario I had, carefully reviewed photos I had taken, etc. I had a very tight-quartered installation scenario, but the crew did a great job of working with me to figure out a creative solution to route/hide the condensate line through an adjacent closet so that I wouldn't have to deal with a noisy failure-prone condensate pump. Jack took extra time once everything was done to make sure I understood all the functions and maintenance needs of the system, as well as explaining how to make sure we receive the big (30%!) energy efficiency federal tax credit next year. Just a terrific experience overall, and I look forward to hiring Benchmark again when I finally decide to add a mini-split to our garage as well."

"TL;DR: 0 stars. Would not reccomend. RUN the other way. After spending over $3k to fix my unit it still doesn't work properly and they are ghosting me. Here's my painful story: My fancy mini split system by Mistubishi quit cooling in a historically hot June at my rental house where a senior citizen, my 75 year-old father-in-law, lives. Since my system is practically brand new and is still under warranty I decided to go with Benchmark Services because: 1) They were specialized technicians on my system. 2) All I saw were positive, raving reviews online. Something shady AF is definitely going on there - especially after my experience. Don't be fooled like me people. Here's an *honest* review: The first meeting with William was great - the guy came out, he was smart, sounded like he knew what he was doing, etc. Then came the estimate. In hindsight, this is where the red flags started. William provided me with one number and their "system" sent me an estimate that was different (off my several hundred more $$) It took several weeks of back and forth and they kept blaming their "system" and saying that the final number I received was the correct one. RED FLAG NUMBER 1. Then I had to pay the invoice in full upfront. No deposit. No 50% now, 50% when then work is done. Because this is "how our system works." I have never done this is my life, but since they had outstanding reviews and we were in a heatwave of 100+ degree days, you kind of find yourself at the mercy of the AC guy, so I paid it. MAJOR RED FLAG NUMBER 2. They told me they ordered the parts and they would let me know when it arrived. It took WEEKS - more than a month. I called every week for an update, but they couldn't give me one because they apparently ordered it from some void in the universe distributor that didn't have a tracking system. It would come when it would come. I find that really preposterous in this age in time where Target and Amazon can pretty much tell me down to the hour when I get get my item. RED FLAG NUMBER 3. Over a month goes by and they call on a Friday to say the part has finally arrived and they arrange to come out first thing on Monday morning. And they did. Hallelujah!! The guy that came out was very nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing. And I was just happy to have the AC unit working again! Or so I thought. A week or two go by and I noticed that my system still isn't working right. I call them. I email them. Nothing. No response. Totally ghosted. Of course, they took my $$$ and ran. But that's not all of it: After they stopped returning my calls and emails, I decided started troublehsooting trying to fix my AC system myself, talking to other AC guy friends that work on traditional AC systems and I am told I was GROSSLY overcharged for the refrigerant. Then charged me $1.1k for something that costs $400."

"Wonderful experience with Benchmark! Jennifer, Jack & William were all great to work with. I wasn't the best communicator through the quote process, but they were patient with me and responsive. The quote was competitive and other folks didn't come close in some research. The install was great - quiet and quick! (We have a two month old in the house and she wasn't disturbed at all.) The unit looks and works great."

"Jack and his team do outstanding work!! We are really enjoying our new mini split AC system for our garage. The whole experience was flawless. I had excellent communication with Jack from the start, and I really appreciated the upfront and very competitive pricing. On install day, he and his team were prompt and very professional. All of the wiring work and drainage setup was top notch. Jack has an eye for the details and made sure his guys kept everything tidy. "Jack is great to work with. Jack came out on a Saturday morning (how many contractors do that?) to give me estimate. Within a half hour he had explained everything to me. He gave full information and answered all my questions. We set a time for the next Tuesday Jack and crew showed up this morning when he said he would be here. He and his crew of 3 young men got to work right away. It took about 3 hours to install my new ductless unit. They were very neat and tidy. They cleaned up after they were done. Once finished, Jack explained how everything worked and showed me how to use the remote. I am very happy with my new ductless unit! Jack does great work and I highly recommend Benchmark Service. Thanks Jack!"
