"Until recently, my wife and I have been paying out of pocket to have numerous cats spayed and neutered. Thanks to Marcus making us aware of the service offered through the Fort Bend County Animal Shelter, we have begun taking the feral cats there. The staff has been very professional and helpful ."

"Anyone that gives this place less than 5 stars needs to check their SOUL!! The staff has way too many dogs and cats for the allotted space and NOT NEARLY ENOUGH MONEY to run the place. Instead of complaining, go volunteer, adopt a dog or cat or DONATE SOME MONEY!!!! I adopted a great dog from here. Please go adopt one as they have so many!! Medium sized dogs are in small cages in the hallways. People stop dropping off or abandoning your dog they are family!!!"

"Adopted a lovely kitten from here but when we got him we found out he had contracted ringworm + an upper respiratory infection from the facility. Definitely not a very clean place at all."

"Horrible people are working on this place , don’t care about anything. Whole neighborhood trying to ask them to pick some random dog that in our neighborhood walks for several days, they told us to call Monday if dog will still be on the streets, but Monday they are not working!!!! We explained that there is school district- don’t care about anything!! Definitely report to Sugar Land city!!"

"This place exists to punish good deeds. If you find a stray and bring it in, they make you pay like a negligent owner. They won't accept animal intake over weekends even when they're open. The staff say things like "there's nothing we can do, sorry." What do you even exist for, if not to provide a safe shelter for animals? How are you so able to look at an animal in need, as an institution that ostensibly exists to address this issue, and say "sorry, that's your problem." You are TAXPAYER FUNDED. And yet, as a point of policing, dumping animals is illegal. I guess the shelter is just hoping strays get hit by cars so it's not their problem anymore. Damned if I do stop, damned if I don't. This service is broken and heartless."
