"I am writing to share my feedback on the property management services provided by Poplar, which took over from Radius in May 2023. While I generally prefer to provide positive feedback, I find it necessary to express my concerns regarding the handling of issues during my tenancy. One notable incident involves the malfunction of my hot water tank, which I reported immediately before Poplar assumed management responsibilities. Regrettably, it took a substantial five months for the issue to be addressed. I understand that external factors, including the property owner, may have contributed to the delay. Despite my consistent complaints and requests due to the discomfort caused by the lack of hot water during colder months, the replacement process was prolonged. Furthermore, the installation of the new hot water tank was not executed correctly, resulting in subpar performance in both hot water supply and heating. My primary grievance with Poplar lies in the inconsistency of their service quality and the apparent lack of commitment to rectifying shortcomings. With the exception of one individual, every interaction I had with the staff revealed a misalignment with acceptable core values. The recurrent instances of underdelivering on promised services, coupled with a perceived indifference to addressing issues promptly, have been disconcerting. Of particular concern is the persistent emphasis on rent payments despite the ongoing service-related challenges. It is my belief that a responsible property management company should prioritize resolving tenant issues before pressing for financial commitments. In light of my experience, I feel compelled to discourage others from considering properties managed by Poplar. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken constructively and contributes to the improvement of service standards."

"If I could give zero stars I would. I reside in St. Louis, MO and my property management company was local, until it was sold to Poplar Homes. I really hate that it happened, because I no longer knew who was coming to my apartment to fix things. To begin, the dashboard doesn't allow you to make partial payments (I split mine because I am paid semi-monthly). I reached out making this happen, and I was told it was fixed to allow me to do so; it wasn't. There were three major maintenance issues needed addressing immediately and they were not. My air conditioner wasn't working in 100 degree weather, the only toilet in my apartment clogged, and my heat went out three days ago with temperatures dropping below 0 degrees. Was either of these addressed with the urgency it needed? I am currently confined to my bedroom with a space heater just so I don't freeze to death! Absolutely not! Between the random technicians, the lack of communication and consistency in the messages, it has been a nightmare since they bought Radius Realty. I resort to contacting my landlord directly and he even states how dissatisfied he is with the company. I love my apartment, but I am considering moving just so I don't have to deal with Poplar anymore. TERRIBLE! 0/10! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"
