"The worst experience that I ever had. There is construction in the building, starting very early. The drilling noise is soooo bad! Also the heater is very noisy as well. If you want to have good sleep, you definitely don’t want to stay here"

"Other than the construction noise and the blinds in the room not being able to close all the way to block the light, the room was a bit old but it was really great, very clean, huge walk in closet, it was very nice. I did see a small bug once while I was in the bathroom in my room but forgot to report it. I did valet but no one told me the next morning that I could not get my car out before 7am without telling the valet the night before, had a difficult time getting it out that morning with the front desk staff but they were very nice. Was disappointed how late breakfast started."

"I like this place. Stayed here several times. The Hilton at Orrington/Evanston is NOT the typical “jello mold” Hilton that you can find everywhere. This Hilton is an older historical building with interesting rooms that are all different shapes but very comfortable. I like the quirky nature of the room shapes. The location is excellent, right in the middle of a huge variety of restaurants and shops. Remember that this is a down town city hotel, so there is no on-site parking but there are several great parking garages with very reasonable rates close nearby. The Valet parking is excellent if you want to use this service. The on site restaurant is superb; very reasonable prices with exceptional quality food and service. I recommend the skirt steak salad - the best I’ve ever eaten with a wonderful deep sear."

"Just there for a banquet. The banquet facility was nice, looks newly renovated. The room was just ok, nothing outstanding. The staff I ran into was very helpful. Front desk staff very nice considering 300 attendees coming in at same time. All staff involved with the January 20, 2024 banquet were outstanding"

"The new ballroom renovations are not in keeping with the historic nature of the hotel. The new design could not be more inappropriate. What bride would want to have a reception in a big brown box with carpet that you would find in a office building. All the new design choices for the hotel so far are just so uninteresting and dull. I was interested to see if someone at Hilton would catch this before it happened to the ballroom. No such luck. I hope there are corrections in the works that are unique, modern, and in someway grounded in the history of the hotel building."
