"We ordered Naan (butter and cilantro) a chicken dish (Murgh Makani) and a beef dish (Nahiri) with a delicious Moscow mule and thought the quality was excellent. It is tipless so a little more spendy overall but love that they pay staff a living wage. The Naan was stupendous. We were so hungry I forgot to take pics before we dove in.."

"Update to post I’ve come here two more times and each time u enjoy half my food and the other half is either bland, extremely salty or very spicy. I like spicy food but it should be noted. The last biryani I had was like cooked rice with two green beans (not exaggerating) and a few chunks of squash and very salty. I love the concept of this place and some things have been excellent but I need more consistency to go back Original I was so excited to try this place and it lived up to my expectations! I love that it provides a new regional cuisine to the diverse willy street neighborhood. The no tipping model is awesome and the food was flavorful! They have a great happy hour 4-6 and the cocktails were creative. The staff was super attentive and they give you a welcome appetizer which was lovely. I have already recommended this place to several friends."

"My family has been wanting to try this place out for a while, as we enjoy the eclectic ethnic food offerings of Madison. Sultan did NOT disappoint! The atmosphere was small and intimate, and the hostess/waitress was immediately welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to our table’s needs and questions - despite being only the only wait staff on the floor. We visited on a Sunday night, so it was not crowded at all. I can imagine that the small wait staff would be hustling to keep up with customers on a busy Friday or Saturday night. The tapas style small plate entrees were anything BUT small on taste. I ordered the dinner special of Curried Shrimp and Blue Crab Toast and it was SPECTACULARLY delicious! That sentiment goes double for the Garlic Naan that we ordered for the table. Mouth-watering good! This was my first experience eating Pakistani food, but thanks to this delightful dining introduction, it won’t be my last!"

"We wanted to try some food that we can't get back in Dubuque. We drove by Sultan earlier in the day and decided to give it a try for dinner. It was fantastic. It is smaller plates but perfect for sharing because that's what everyone should do when trying new things. Will go back"

"Stopped in here for dinner and had a great experience. The dishes are served tapas style which allows you to have more. My favorite dish was the potatoes, truffle Parmesan naan and the lamb."
