"I'd initiated a claim to repair my car door with two estimates in the $3,000 range. Having just made a separate claim, I was reluctant to have work done that wasn't truly necessary, but the car was new and I didn't want to regret having compromised on its integrity or appearance. Steve found me one of the two collision repair places certified to work on aluminum frame and paneled cars. The guy (at Pro-Tech Collision in Ellisville) had a shop full of cars nicer than my '17 Audi and knew that door, hinge, and C-Pillar better than the guys estimating for full replacement. He twisted and bent a few things right in the parking lot to tide me over until there was room in his schedule, then concluded an appointment wasn't even necessary. After two days of testing, listening for wind noise, taking it through a car wash to ensure no water intrusion, I accepted his advice and withdrew my insurance claim. Still tried to make an appointment so he could be sure, and he said it wasn't needed for his certainty, only mine, so I passed entirely. I can't thank Steve LaVigne and The LaVigne Group enough for his tremendous, attentive service to me and to his insurance carrier, who avoided an unnecessary claim."

"I didn't physically go in to their location, but i emailed for a quote and they got back to me promptly. They suggested i don't make any changes to my policy right now, which for some reason makes me feel like they have my best interest in mind and aren't just trying to sell to me. I'd definitely reach out for a quote in the future if anything changed for me."

"The staff at LaVigne group are nice, responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, they do push a product sold by Encompass--a cut rate insurance company--that will do everything they can not to pay a claim. The LaVigne group will defend the insurance company's position. I had an issue with towing my vehicle where the call center told me I did not have towing coverage on my policy. Upon contacting Jennifer Hayes I was told I did, and that the call center is outsourced and sometimes get it wrong. I requested to cancel my policy with Encompass at that point and was told, quote: "This type of situation would not happen if there was an actual claim on your Encompass policy (car accident, kitchen fire, hail damage, etc) as you would be dealing directly with an Encompass Adjuster during the entire process. I would just hate for you to suffer with higher premiums due to this incident. Instead of taking your business elsewhere to send a message to Encompass, you should literally send a message / letter / phone call / complaint to Encompass about what happened." Unfortunately I chose at that time to stay with Encompass. Fast Forward 4 years, Encompass denies my roof claim stating my roof was installed incorrectly. 5 year old home. They had 2 inspectors look at my roof with my roofer, one of which refused to get on my roof (a 2 story home). He said everything looked fine. I contacted Jennifer Hayes and she said, quote: "It has become standard in the insurance industry for insurance companies to hire firms to come out and look at the roof…sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. In this case it does not appear so". My builder and their roofing contractors gave me a letter head document in response to Encompass's in writing statement certifying that their workmanship (My builder's contractor) was correct, and after threatening Encompass with a lawsuit for breach of contract and implied covenant of good faith and fair dealings, and filing a complaint with Missouri DCI, they immediately settled with a complete replacement of my roof-the same day. If you choose to do business with The Lavign Group, please avoid Encompass. Don't make the same mistake I did and get talked into something because of an attractive price tag."
