"If you are looking for an insurance broker, pass on this one. Timeline 6/15/23 - 9/1/23 ... We originally set up our homeowners insurance policy through Kay when we purchased out home in July 2022. I contacted Kay at renewal time, because we received notice that our premium was increasing 108%, more than doubling. Kay informed me that they had been contacted by multiple homeowners for reshopping, because of the same issue. I gave her all of our information to reshop for homeowners and auto insurance, and she said she'd be back in contact with me by the end of the following week. The next week came and went, and I never heard from Kay. I reached out to her numerous times attempting to follow up via phone and email, and never received a response. It wasn't until we found a new broker, and my husband left her a voicemail that we wanted to cancel our policy with her (we were told by the insurance company that our broker had to submit the cancellation), that we received a vague word document requesting a signature to cancel our policy from Kelcie. Not once did they attempt to speak with us in regards to this, not once did they attempt to rectify anything. After sending back the signature, we didn't hear anything confirming cancellation and our policy was still active online, so my husband attempted to follow up with Kay. Again, she did not answer, but she did later leave him a voicemail stating that the policy was cancelled. A few days later, the policy still showed active online. We contacted the insurance company ourselves, and were informed that Kay had, in fact, never sent in the request to cancel. The insurance company stated that they would take care of this directly "since we had already had so much trouble", and processed the cancellation for us. The change was immediate. Since Kay was originally recommended to us when we purchased our home, it is incredibly disappointing to have had these negative experiences with her."
