"After visiting over 15 rental properties in Houston and the Clearwater areas I decided to lease an apartment at the Ashford Strawbridge apartment complex in Pearland, Texas when I met Ms. Veronica Espinosa the property manager because she took the time to listen and understand my personal situation since I like to plan ahead to avoid any unexpected moving surprises! Ms. Veronica Espinosa has a great personality coupled with a professional acumen that gives her the ability to provide an honest presentation of the lifestyle of this rental property. The apartments have well designed interiors, totally insect free and spotless, the appliances are nice and fairly new, the maintenance crew is friendly and technically proficient, and my neighbors are well behaved working professionals! After six months of living here I have to say that I did make the correct leasing decision because the manager Ms. Veronica Espinosa and her staff continue to exceed my expectations!"
"These apartments were horrible. I moved here in 2019. Things were great up until new management. Old management Dean was great. The Foundation is completely off and uneven. None of my doors closed correctly. They came to fix my front door because it did not close correctly and that was unsafe. Then a few months later the door began to be uneven again and you could look outside from under the door. I had a crack in my wall that was from the Foundation being completely uneven. They came and painted over it instead of actually fixing the crack only for it to crack again. My bedroom and bathroom doors never closed correctly. When you walk into the unit, it felt like you were walking down a ramp. Even my visitors would walk in and see that things were off. My baseboards detached and i could stick my whole hand under between that and the carpet throughout the unit. One night my family saw one of the many RATS that lives in the walls run across our floors and there was a MOUSE in the bedroom. When they came (3 days after i reported about the rat) he told ME to get rat killer. I pay YOU, thats their job. They probably came in from the gap between the baseboards and carpet. You can hear the rodents running in the ceiling and walls. The neighbors also were concerned that they would end up falling through the ceiling because everything was uneven and they also had issues with hearing those big rats in the walls and ceiling. All of the years i lived here i never had to pay for parking but now they are charging 50 for covered and 25 for uncovered. If you don't pay, we'll you'll have to park on the street if there isn't any available "free" parking. Also, you want to know why it's so easy to get into a unit so quickly is because people are moving out at a high rate because the property has gone to hell. The water bill has increased tremendously. I had 4 people move in the unit across from me in less than 2 years. That's how fast people come and go. Also, you'll be charged $19 for "insurance" but you're still required to have additional coverage. From my understanding is a leak or something with the pool and the tenants are paying the bill for it which is why the bill has increased. Oh, and the pest (roaches) are your roommates along with the rats. You don't have them, they have you. Oh let's not forget the possum that made its home in my outdoor storage room and had possum sh*t all in the patio closet. Be careful when you move here. Its a reason why they have so many vacancies. FIX THE FOUNDATION ON THE BUILDINGS AND GET THE RODENTS AND ROACHES OUT OF THE WALLS. If you hear scratching and noise in the walls and ceiling you know what it is."
"I’ve lived here for years and it wasn’t until the latest management team took over that this place started going downhill. The management team is very unprofessional. They have extremely poor customer service and communication skills, and they don't always answer the phones during business hours. They don't even return phone calls when you leave messages. On top of that, the owner Veronica is very forgetful. Things were so much better when Dean, the previous owner was here. He was always there to handle things professionally, answer the phones, and even follow up when there was a problem. Plus there weren't a lot of unhappy tenants like there is now. There's a reason why I see so many people moving out. All the tenants I speak to here are upset about the stupid $50/month parking charge they added, and that's just one of many complaints I hear from others. They need to change things up before management runs this place even further into the ground."
"Moved here recently after a long search in the Pearland area. First person to greet me here was Alexander in the management office, who took charge of the leasing process for my partner and I. He was very straightforward and professional, and made us feel welcome and wanted at Strawbridge. We told Alex he might own this place someday with his professionalism! Overall, we have been happy here so far, and management has been very transparent about operations and quick to respond to service requests. Grateful to call this place home!"
"It seems good apartment complex. Veronica is great, professional, and responding quickly. We just moved in last Saturday afternoon, and Alex even stayed longer than his work hours to help us with moving process. The only thing I wish their assigned parking spot is cheaper(50$/car cover, 25$/car uncover). Also valet trash is not optional, it's mandatory 25$/month, and I don't like to leave trash in front of my little door. Overall, I think my family is going to love this community."
