"We’ve been loyal customers of south plains vet for over 7 years, driving from Lubbock to use their services. Today, when picking up meds for our dog, they attempted to charge 300x the cost we typically paid. Somehow our medication went up from ~$12 and is now $33+ for the same medication. The medication shows online for $8.40, which tells me they’re intentionally price gouging medications. We’ll be taking our pets and business elsewhere from now on. They may be a decent large animal vet but let’s be honest, they’re mediocre with pets."

"My family & I have been clients of Dr Pace for several years with our many horses and our dogs. Her service has really gone down hill in the last couple of years. We called after hours on Monday night with a colicing weanling filly and never received a call back from her. We left her 3 messages in about an hour and a half! Ended up calling another vet & hauling to Lamesa anyway. Thought I would give her another chance when the filly was still having issues later in the afternoon about 3:00 on the next day & I called the clinic. The first question was how quick can you get here? We live about 30-40 minutes away & when I told them that, they said well, she will see you but Dr. Pace is leaving straight at 5:00 & if you aren't done you will have load up & haul to Lamesa. To be honest, that really upset me so I asked does Dr. Pace even take emergency calls anymore because we left 3 messages last night & never received a call back from her or anyone! The reply I got was yes she does but she had family issues & was unavailable. I said well at least she could have texted me & let me know so I didn't waste time & I didn't even get an apology. Unbelievable! My family & I will be moving all of our business as soon as we can to another vet who cares about their patients."

"I took my sick Dachshund dog in the see the Vet My service was very good got in really fast thank you for taking care of my sweet Dog in a couple days he is doing so much better the best service the staff is very friendly I recommend for everybody to take there Dogs cats horses there best vet in Slaton thank you have a Happy New Year !!!!!!"
