"Not recommended and why? 1. I can hear other guests talking, coughing, sneezing, outside car driving (day and night time), upstairs people walking. Thin walls making the room very noisy. On the day of our checking in, while walking to our room, we were able to hear conference meeting conversations, TV sounds from few rooms. Didn't think much of it until we were able to listen to our neighbor room's conversation in our room. They were just talking in their normal voice. 2. horrible breakfast. Dry sausage patties or links, very dry hash browns, egg/potato/chorizo came with no tortillas, hot dogs in sandwich bread. People who prepared them has a very low standard on food quality. I have cancelled my remaining Homewood stays in other cities. Worst breakfast option I had ever experienced. They also have military personnel stationed here to help with boarder control. Should provide good quality breakfast for our servicemen. During our 5 day stay, we made it to the breakfast 3 times, each time was worst than last. 3. We were in room 328, 1K + 2Q suite, every afternoon, the King room floor would be shaking!! The lamp on the desk would be rattling so much that we have to hold it for it to stop rattling. The 2Q room have this humming noise. We think the laundry room is below us on the 1st floor. If 3rd floor can feel and hear, how about the 2nd floor! 4. We love our room layout, but it was far from the lobby/breakfast area. A good 2-3 min walk is needed. We were in town for STAGS (if you are a swim family, you will know what it is). The highway constructions made it a 20 min drive to the Pharr pool, but we picked this hotel for the eatery options. If we return for anther swim meet, I would not pick this hotel. Also, there a lot of cars from Mexico, if you get into a car accident, those cars do not have insurance."

"The plus for this hotel is the location and they serve decent free food. The front desk workers are genuinely nice however I had some major point losers about this hotel 1 being they did not change my sheets i had to go to the desk and request it. I had small bugs crawling on my wall will post pic and video. The biggest issue i had with this hotel is the housekeeping. Ive had items that i left on my table disappear im assuming they were thrown away but it was more so like snack or sodas so i didnt really mind but when my shoes went missing i had a big issue with it and the hotel did nothing to compensate nor did they investigate they suggested i call the police but they knew that wouldnt do anything for me. My shoes was in a nike bag that seemingly disappeared and the hotel told me they aren’t liable for anything that goes missing or damaged so be careful with what you leave in the room. Most of the housekeeping do not speak English so you kinda have to go to the desk to request things though they are nice for the most part. It doesn’t allow me to post a video but here are some pictures"

"By far one of the best stays that I’ve had at a hotel. I was having an allergic reaction to one of the air conditioners on one side of the suite. The staff came in and switched the air conditioners so I could sleep better at night."

"Had a great time! My family and I stayed at 3 different hotels over our stay in the RGV and this one was the best!!!! We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and were able to bbq outside while enjoy the cabanas pool side, have great breakfast in the AM, and even took advantage of the lobby store! The rooms were clean and the customer service was superior!"

"Clean hotel with responsive and friendly staff. Rooms are perfectly set up for a long stay and include a hotplate, microwave, and full sized fridge. Breakfast and Evening dinner was tasty and the kitchen staff professional. Location is convenient with a few restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is minor, this location may benefit from a backup power source as we were out of power for 2 days during our stay."
