The Growing Place

"At first I thought this would be a great place for my son. I will add that yes my son is on the spectrum and non verbal which was explained to them on the phone. I again explained that to the lady that took us for the tour and as we got done and headed to the front where the owner Cindy was. Cindy made sure to mention and say is your son on the spectrum and I said yes and she goes oh I can tell by the movements he's making. I don't know if she heard me mentiining about it being a neurological problem and she proceeds to say IT IS and points to her head with her finger.la dnsays you should have that checked out. At this point I brush it off because let's face it when you have a child on the spectrum your going to come across situations like this unfortunately. Let me mention that I was going to speak to her about my sons disorder but she beat me to it as we ended the tour and got up to the front. They hand me paperwork to fill out and let them know I would bring it the next morning but of course I head to work and forgot. I call and ask if it would be okay if I bring it on Monday and pay when I drop him off and the staff or employee says no problem that's fine. 30 minutes later I get a call that his spot has been filled. I actually wasnt surprised by that not even a little bit. Either way I wouldn't advise any parent to even bother taking a tour if you child has a disability of any sort whether it be a mild or severe case. I would've rather not of wasted my time and got my child's hopes up and been told on the phone before I agreed to the tour that you don't deal with children that are behind, non verbal or on the spectrum. I understand that if your staff or facility is not able to accommodate this type of disorder but I would've rather been told that before I went. The lady who gave us the tour was outstanding but the owner made me feel I don't even know the words for it to be honest. But I looked past that because my son was already so comfortable and happy just during the tour. Even after I explained our situation as far as speech therapy goes. It was so discouraging I really hope not all daycare pre-k owners are like this. It was rushed towards the end and was more about the owner making sure I knew my child was on the spectrum."

"From the first tour I did of the growing place in May of 2022, I fell in love with it. I could feel the love as soon as I walked through the door & I absolutely needed my daughter to be apart of this! I waited patiently on the waiting list for about 3 months & finally got the call in August 2022 that they now have Space for my 3 year old babygirl. The Growing Place is absolutely amazing. from the staff all the way down to the other children that attends. my light of day is honestly dropping my daughter off & talking with all her 3 year old friends. kids are amazing! This place is ran amazingly! Great Job Cindy!"

"The staff has always been there through and through for my daughter. When I switched her to this facility I saw drastic changes in her attitude and well being. The teachers truly care, and they took their time to ensure I was always informed. Mrs. Cindy enforces the policies to keep the children safe as well. Her and the staff has also been more than supportive for anything we needed. I never worried for my child knowing she was there. I had peace of mind while going to work. I would highly recommend The Growing Place! You won’t regret it."

She has learned so much, made many friends and connected with teachers far beyond my expectations. she was excited to see her friends, do fun learning activities everyday and came home happy her entire attendance there. i have nothing but great things to say about the staff and the facility!
